I hate when a pet dies.
« on: February 28, 2007, 08:45:21 pm »
Sad time here tonight. I lost one of my cats today. He was old and had a thyroid disease that spread to his liver. I noticed he stopped eating a few days ago regardless of what I enticed him with. The meds seemed to stop working too because he lost weight quickly. We are also having a snow storm here in Denver today so if he went into a seizure somewhere outside, which is what usually happens, maybe his death was quick and painless. I've searched through the snow in areas where he usually goes, but I can't find him. I hate loosing pets, but death is all part of the game. Well, I still have one cat and one dog left and their both a hand full. Damn I hate loosing a pet, a friend.  :'(

I know some people think its too much, but for me its like losing a friend or family member. I still miss my wiemaraner and he's been gone 2 years. I also think pets are great therapy, they never judge you, always listen and give you a reason to get up in the AM!

I know i'm going to enjoy the party in the afterlife, but do you all mind that I'm going to be VERY late!!!

Sorry you lost your cat.  It sounds as if he had a good life, though, which is all we can do for our four-legged family members.  My best wishes to you and all of your family.

I am so sorry to hear about your cat.

When I was 19, we had to put my dog to sleep... the one I had grown up with... that still gets to me if I think about it...

Boo's right though... it sounds like you loved him and gave him a nice life.

((((((Bill))))))

You must be beside yourself with worry - not knowing is hard.

I hope he turns up, but if he doesn't, like you, I hope that it was quick.

More hugs,
Ann

I know how you feel, sorry for the loss of your friend (cat).
