Best Guy I Could Take to Mexico

My boyfriend Santiago agreed months ago to come with me to Mexico City.  He knew he would be "Basquo's boyfriend," and he knew he would be translating for us a lot, but neither of us knew how much he would be loved and accepted by everyone. He was a real trooper when it came to everyone calling "Santi...!" when his services were needed, and he always went into tranlsator mode when a Spanish speaker started telling a tale.

We had fun, and it was a great way to learn that we travel well together!

Not only is he a great translator...but he's a keeper!  Those of us in attendance made that clear to Basquo.  I just returned tonight at 8 pm...it was an exhausting, but truly wonderful six days in Mexico City.  I wish more could have made the trip and shared the community time. 

I am indebted to the Texas contingent  (Basquo, Santi, and Curtis) for letting me accompany them on the side trips..especially  up and down those infamous pyramids.

Not only was he a translator, but Santi is truly a gentle spirit.  He was so sweet to Mini and very attentive.  He and I share a heart-string for working with the deaf, too.  All around, I have to wonder - what the heck is he doing with Basquo? ;)

It was a wonderful pleasure to meet Santi.  The fact that he speaks Spanish was a plus but Santi, the man, is we will remember about him.  It was beautiful to see a couple so much in love.  Much happiness to the two of you.  Ric & Thom

Just add my voice to the choir. I was very delighted to finally meet Santi.

Not only was he very beneficial to have around, he is a delight in his own right.

Creighton and I have been observers of each other's love lives for maybe......five years now?  Lots of mis-steps, similar mistakes made again, the usual stuff.  I can think of a couple of times when my friends did not like who I was dating, which should have spoke volumes to me and didn't. 

That your friends DO like who you're dating Creighton says a lot.
