Christmas Pressies

Done and dusted!!!!!!!!Just finished shopping......and soooooooooooo glad!
I did some online (with a wee refreshment to help!).....then picked up the rest in the shops

I took mum for lunch too.Its such a great feeling to be able to pay for things again....its been a hell of a year.........but im looking forward to Christmas and 2013.

 Last year at  this time I was desperately ill,( unaware of my aids diagnosis), totally skint.....missed out on Xmas , in bed New Year and you know the rest of my story!!!!!!!!!!!

There's nothing like a bad year or two to make you appreciate the good ones.  I'll never forget what it felt like spending Christmas of 2007 in a nursing home.

Makes me remember to enjoy the little things.  :)

I have not started my shopping.  Every year, I ask everyone for ideas around thanksgiving.  However, it is usually December 15th by the time they give them to me.  I should just buy them things I think they'd like. 

I am glad to hear you're excited about this year and are enjoying it.  I have some bitter-sweet feelings about this time of year.  I was not well Christmas 2008.  We didn't get most of our decor up and everyone got gift cards that year.

Again, glad this Christmas is a good one for you.  That was nice you took your mom to lunch.

Merry Christmas to you Brit, and (or Happy Haunukka, Kwanza, or just holidays to) everyone else!  It is great to hear the cheer in your post.

We are having lots of family over the holiday and I am looking forward to it - this last six months have given me new appreciation for the "present" moments.
