OK, you guys really need to use condoms.

Because with condoms, this is nothing to worry about at all.

As it stands, you hand had a low level risk. It's a risk, but I have not seen someone test positive over such an event inthe ten years I have been volunteering here.

So here goes:

At the six week mark, get tested. If it is negative (it will almost certainly be) then just test again at three months for a gold standard.

And after that, just use a condom for penetrative sex. That is ALL you need to do in order to prevent HIV. Hell, have oral sex all you want. Handies, fetishes, whatever. Just use a condom for penetrative anal and vaginal sex.

It's really that simple.

I honestly think you are going to come through this OK.

Confused,

Actually, it was your friend who had a risk, not you. You didn't have unprotected anal intercourse, but your friend did and he would be wise to test.

YOU did NOT have a risk as you did not have unprotected intercourse. What you did is the same thing as frottage (rubbing genitals together or on a body part, without penetration), and frottage is NOT a risk for hiv infection. It doesn't matter is your friend is hiv positive and you came into contact with his fluids on her body.

Hiv is a fragile, difficult to transmit virus that is primarily transmitted INSIDE the human body, as in unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse where the virus never leaves the confines of the two bodies.

Once outside the body, small changes in temperature, and pH and moisture levels all quickly damage the virus and render it unable to infect. For this reason, any fluids you came into contact with on her body were of no danger to you where hiv is concerned.

You and your friend BOTH need to wise up and start using condom for anal or vaginal intercourse.

Again, your friend needs to test over this specific incident, but YOU do not.
