medication question

hi all
does anyone have any thoughts or experience with taking one of their meds every other day.  i was just thinking if it might be possible to take my prezista/norvir every other day but still take isentress as normal.   i wouldnt do this without checking with my doctor.  im just trying to limit the nerve damage

I don't have any nerve damage but since I am on the same regimen I have to ask....

How long have you been poz?
Are you sure its the meds causing the nerve damage?
Did you get a proper diagnosis of nerve damage?
How do the nerve damage presents itself?

Hope you'll find a solution to your problems.

hi common
i tested poz bout 2 years ago and started on atripla then bout 1 year on meds my hands and feetstarted going numb then painful. had tests with neurologist he advd periphreal neuropathy and to habe doctor change meds and he did so to current meds.  my feet started getting better but still get flare ups every few months. 

m ID doc told me this wasnt unusual but mostly with folks that are more long term. i guess im one of the unlucky few newely diagnosed that deal with it.  my doc expects its the meds versus hiv itself since my numbers are decent

its not fun i tell ya.  im dealing with a flare up now.

on a separate note i would advise anyone taking hiv meds to also supplemet with some type of mitochondral toxicity supplements.  i started taking life extensions mitochondral toxicity formula a couple weks ago and some of the symptoms have gotten less painful. its pricey though abiut 80.00 bucks for a 2 months supply

this is not medical advice one should check with their doc. i verified with mine that is was ok for myself and should not interfere with my meds
