Help with getting term life insurance
« on: December 10, 2006, 11:21:29 pm »
Does anyone know a company that offers term life insurance that doesn't ask any questions about health status or insures HIV+ people?  I read on the Body that there were some... but can't seem to find a particular company name.  Thanks!

Hey Marky,

Here is a link to an earlier thread about this subject:

I don't know if this helps. I don't worry about life insurance because I have no heirs.

HUGS,

Mark

Hi Marky,

I believe insurance companies will sell life insurance to people with HIV and they are limited to increasing the premiums by 10%.  That what I was told about 10 years ago at the Care Program at St. Mary's Medical Center.   Forum member kentb is an expert in this issue.  If I was looking for insurance, I would PM him.  Have the best day

Hey Marky,

Supposedly there is a program out there that offers Term Life Insurance. While I was in Miami at the Health Clinic they were taking applications for this program as you needed to be a patient at their clinic. To date, I have not heard a word from the sponsoring company. Check around and you may find a good source. If I can find out who that company was, I will be more than happy to share this information with you.

Thank you guys.... I'll keep looking.   I did get a mailing not too long ago that asked no questions.. but had a 10k limit and they wouldn't pay for 2 years......the limit wasn't enough so I threw it away.  Anyway.... if anyone does know of a company let me know.  Thanks for your responses.
