How come there isnt any trial to test waking up dormant hiv and the possibilty of this helping to eradicate the virus using haart for example ?,what happened to SAHA,and other waking up agents ?
God grant me the serenity to accept the things i can not change.

Most eradication strategies are in very early phases. For the one reported recently using targeted chemotherapy, for example, they said that  "The next step for researchers is to begin testing their proposed treatment method using animal models and newly developed therapies."

I read somewhere that human trials could start pretty soon using SAHA (vorinostat) with people who are recently infected but they haven't started yet.

It's not that easy. The biggest concern with using those agents is that they might wake-up more than HIV in the cd4 resting memory cells. Scientists now believe that resting cd4s are not  the only HIV resting place. You snoozed at Geovax's vaccine, well either that vaccine or something similar might be the closest thing to a cure,  a functional cure. Unless there is a breakthrough, either in research and not yet disclosed or in the future and not yet discovered, a functional cure is the best bet. Do some reading:
