Well, you don't have to imagine. For the first time in years, I just had a look at the TheBody.com's forums. Check out this lovely thread (http://www.thebody.com/cgi-bin/bbs/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=living&Number=242170&page=&view=&sb=5&o=&vc=1).

Well, it kind of pre-dates my tenure on this august message board, but aren't those people responding to the OP in that thread the same people who once stomped off of here claiming that everyone was nasty and mean? Yet there they are being about as nasty as I've seen on the internet. Certainly worse than here as we're moderated.

Just seems to reek of hypocrisy, hence my comment.

I quit going to theBody after I came across some drug dealer's thread about how he was infected behind a corner store by some hooker. It was pretty graphic to say the least.

BUT THAT THREAD IS BEYOND HELPING ANYONE !

I do read articles on THE BODY , but rarely ever get to the forums .

I do NOT feel THAT would make ME feel better ,
AIDS . MEDS TENDS to bring hope to my life , a form of NORMALCY .

I also agree with the hypocrisy angle, as some of those posters sent me horrendous PMs when they were here. However, what was most disturbing is the slam on this site, where we have the same goal: helping the HIV community. I do not know how anyone, could see that thread as being supportive of the HIV community.

Why the crack about AidsMeds Forum on page three? The moderators are good and as patient as you can be with some posters and very informative without being condenscending....
