  • Hi...
Hello, I am new to the site but been + 15 years...
« on: February 12, 2012, 02:53:47 pm »
I have my occasional dizzy spells but that is do to my depression medication. I am doing fine otherwise and took up some hobbies. I like to quilt and cook. Other than all that I spend time on the net trying to tell myself it is time to clean the house.
I also have a 14 year old daughter who is HIV negative. She does know of my health and still tells me how much she loves me often.
We both see counselors... me to deal with my depression and her to deal with if she has ADD.
I also have only one friend, the friend who stuck around after hearing of my health after people told her what I had. Yet she does not understand why  need medicaid.
Then there is my hubby who is very supportive of my goals. I want to become a paralegal except I have to clear my credit in order to get a loan. Which won't be until this September.
I guess I am looking for friends who are also positive.[/color]

Hi again, Idee! Thank you so much for moving into a different forum. I appreciate it.

I just caught your post on my way out the door so I can't say much right now, other than it's good to see you here, even if being here means you're poz. You sound like a survivor - we've got a lot of those around here (me included!) I have a daughter too who knows my status. She's nearly 25, but she's known since she was thirteen. (not long after my diagnosis)

Gotta run. I'm looking forward to getting to know you.

Hugs,
Ann

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts
