Hello Ladies

Just sitting at the house relaxing with DH and DD. My DS is gone for the weekend with his dad. I didn't do much today but went to the discount grocery store and wall's bargin center. I got some boxes of cereral juice and rasins that where combined together. They were 3/1.00 I also go DD some Easy ups jumbo pack for 8.00. It was a good buy to me. I braided DD hair and thats about it. My knee has been swelling again so I put a heating pad and a brace on it. Last night was happy hour at the local resturant. I had 3 margaritas i felt like ??? LOL. I came home and crashed. Besides that nothing has been really going on in my life  :)

I was just checking in with you ladies, I will holla back later.

hi ladies,

post #101 cos I dont want to start a new thread having done that recently.

WENDY - I hope you feel better, what an experience. seriously, reading thru the firemen description, I stopped 1/3 thru and skipped to the end of the post cos I thought I'd pass out in my chair. You poor thing. Please, do PM me and tell what happened. I have guesses. Oh boy. Get well soon darlin'.

Tendai - so relieved you didnt get fired! I know how strong you are - but great you dont need to worry about that.

Betty, 3 weeks!!! It will just get better from here and as for the sugar - try not to tell yourself youre off completely but just toning it down, it will be good. when Im home I eat very simply and hardly any sugar or simple carbs (white bread) and I always lose weight and feel so much better, as soon as I come back though. Esp the last 2 days (more below)...

Andrea - enjoy the gym and I hope you pull thru with this struggle cos not only you deserve so much better, actually no one deserves to be with someone like that for 13 years IMO and you're right at the crucial point when you can change your life when it comes to men but first you have to get rid of him. I know I had some people like that in my life way way too long and until they're out nothing else can replace them. But I left countries b/c of such things I am also someone who has a hard time saying goodbye. I think how I cried and begged my ex here to stay with me when he dumped me after the diagnosis - thank God he didnt listen otherwise Id still be stuck with him and that was one hell of a compromise.

Snow - your son is 10, that's amazing! one day you'll tell him I bet when he is older and stronger. Im sure youre an amazing mom.

BTW I decided NOT to have a 4th wedding even if it is a much bigger hassle to register a foriegn wedding than to make a newer one. I have a very supertistious side to me and "4 weddings" doesnt sound good.

Mom - hope you feelbetter for the trip. Have they found out the reasons for these reoccuring infections? it seems they just treat symptoms, isnt it time for a thorough check up? you will have a great time in MC and Mini too.

Keeping - bit confused about all the D's but 3 margarita's sounds good to me. I have been drinking a bit which I shouldnt cos am trying to get pregnant and techinically dont know if I am or not each month till I get my period, but it hasnt happened for 6 months so I'm kind of not expecting it to.

Mahalia - glad you dont worry about something normal anymore  ;). Hope you get a nice place to call your own.

Fri I went to a poz-poz wedding it was the most amazing wedding I have ever been too, in a league of its own. If my wedding will have an ounce of the fun there I'd be well pleased. The bride is Mexican so we had real Mexican food and Mariachis band and a very good DJ playing Latin, raggae and rock for the very mixed crowd - African, Latino, European, Middle Eastern - it was wonderful. It was in their back yard and the bride, groom and family/friends did everything from cooking all the food to making the flowers, the decorations, building large tents - even though there were 150 guests. It was just WOW, I never thought I could enjoy it so much. One of her friends is on a oxygen bottle all the time and living at a hospital and even she was dancing next to her contraption a few times with us and smiling all the time, she sat right by the speakers and she said she was feeling in a club. It was so lively and when I came to say goodbye to this woman and said see you soon she was like "I dont know"  :'(. But for that one day it was like everyone there forgot everything and just partied.

We had to get up at 05.30 am to get there on time missing work of course. Then yesterday my BF's friend's parents invited us to dinner and being Spanish they stuffed us with food again, of course my PIs didnt like all that food, wine, champagne and cakes for 2 days in a row and responsed accordingly. I have to keep it simple foodwise now.

Keeping it simple is always good.

Love to you all,

Morning ladies,

Wendy, I'm glad you're feeling some better.  I hope the meds clear that H. Pylori up.  I took Lexiva for awhile and never had any side effects from it.  I'm reistant to it now, or I would still be taking it.  Anyway, please keep us informed as to how you're doing.

Keeping, I'm confused with the D's also.  I'm assuming DS is your hubby.  Anyway, it sounds like you made some good buys.  I remember when my daughter was a baby, having to really pinch pennies.  I imagine it's harder today with the prices of everything.

Drag, that wedding sounds like so much fun.  I think you needed that.  We all need to just have fun sometimes without having to worry about anything.  You know, it seems like when I eat Mexican food I'm more full than when I eat American food.  I don't know how similar Mexican and Spain food is though.  I try with the sugar.  I really haven't had any for a couple days.  I keep telling myself it's a better way to eat instead of "being on a diet."  I haven't been able to lose any weight yet.

It's a beautiful day here.  The sun is shining, it's only 58 out and hardly any humidity.  I can't believe it; last year at this time it was like swamp weather.

My brother and his girlfriend are in New York.  My brother is a poet and was invited to speak at a club there, so they left last Wednesday.  He called me yesterday and told me about how incredible New York is.  He and his gf went to see "The Phantom of the Opera" on Broadway, they went to Times Square, the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Radio City Musichall, and Chinatown.  When he called me, they were in Little Italy and he was eating a Canolli.  I told him if he saw Marlon Brando, to tell him I need a favor (for those of you who don't know, Marlon Brando played the original "Godfather" and on his daughter's wedding day, he granted favors).  I would love to visit there someday.

I'll be leaving for church shortly.  Then this afternoon I'm headed to the Hope's other building for some kind of a volunteer thing.  I hope you ladies have a good morning.

Hi Ladies,

Its been awhile, but things are good, really good in fact.  I have been working a lot and enjoying the summer.  Its been hard to post and keep up the site with so much on my plate, and another reason is that I found myself reading other posts in the other threads then I would get depressed.  I would read about peoples failing health and it would just upset me.  I am in good health except for some precancerous cells on my cervix, which the doctor says not to worry about and will be getting a procedure for that next month to have them removed.  Also reading the other posts in the threads would scare me due to being a relationship with a negative man.

Things are going great with that relationship and he has told me that he loves me.  We take my HIV seriously and I don't feel that I am putting him at risk.  We take all precautions and it helps that I am undetectable even though that is not a safety net.

I am glad so see that you ladies are doing well except for the normal day to day headaches of life.  I am going to try and make it my goal to check in at least once a week.  I really do miss all of you guys in this thread and it provided me many times with comfort not to mention the friends that I have made.

Well, today is my 5th day of working 12 hour shifts and am finally looking forward to have some time off to spend with my honey.  I have been working on the remodel to my house and that has been keeping me busy just cleaning every day from the dust not to mention sending my allergies into a tale spin.

Well, back to work I go.  I look forward to reconnecting with you ladies and all of the new members that have joined in my absence.  Take care and miss you guys.

Sun - Don't work too hard. The stuff they do to get rid of the cervical dysplasia isn't too terrible. Been there done that. They put this junk on me afterward that looked like mustard. LOL Now that was yucky. it didn't hurt it was just nasty  ;)

Betty - I'm going to eat all your sugar. I'm tired and a little achy but I'm floating on pain killers right this second so everything is cool. I just made some tapioca pudding.

I cant remember what all I have told ya'll about what I found out about whats wrong with me so I am going to start a new thread and tell you chicky chicks all about it.

The New thread is located at the link below
