My buddy, Alan, is fortunate enough to own and fly his own plane and he sent these pics to me a while back.  I was not along for the ride but would love to go up with him again at some point.  The view from the cockpit of a plane is awesome!

I love riding in a plane! Not only has it made short work of the trips I've taken back-n-forth between NC and OH; but the view from above the rippling mountains (they sure don't feel ripply when you have to drive through them), or the view of the sun above the cloud-covered, dreary world is excellent. Thanks for sharing.

when you get the chance to fly with your friend, and you're flying over this area, make sure to look down. I'll be waving to you while I'm out floating in the pool, like I do to those other planes flying into Charlotte-Douglas

better yet, pick your ass up and go along!  I have not been in that new plane yet but he use to fly up to MD on the way to New England and I went along once.
