I just received word via text, but after I'd just spoken to him for a brief bit, that his mother passed away tonight. I hope everyone here will keep him in your thoughts in the coming days and weeks.

He is handling things as best as can be expected right now - and definitely can use the continued support and positive thoughts and words of the members of the forums.
It definitely goes a long way to know that others have us in mind when we go through challenges.

Thank you to everyone, especially Missp, Trey, Phil, RAB and Betty for helping me through this. I am having a rough go of it but I'm sure time will heal.
The lady from the Funeral home called me today and said moms remains were ready for me to pick up (she was cremated) and of course that sent me back into grief and the bed. The people came and picked up the hospital bed from my house and that was unusually difficult. I keep trying to unpack her bag from the nursing home but cant seem to do it. I'm ahving to spearhead a memorial and I really dont feel like doing it, and haven't. My son and wife and grandbaby were in for a couple days and kept my mind busy but have gone back home so it sucks again now.
But through all this I know she is in a better place and out of pain.
I appreciate everyones kind words, they are truly comforting.
