What about all the men who fall in the middle of the Kinsey Scale? 

I use to think my gaydar was very good.  However, I've found that just since I came out around 1993, it has become harder and harder to tell.  Straight guys now wear designer jeans and other designer clothes, hair all did-up, tan, jewelry, lotions, use eye creams, etc.  Many like to decorate their homes, use the word duvet--you know, all the stereotypical (but not necessarily untrue) things gays are known/thought to do.  I will see so many guys I would swear are gay, but see them kiss their girlfriends.  I know so many straight guys who come off more "gay" than I.  They dress much better than I do and decorate their homes much better. 

So, if these stereotypes can't be relied on, I'll start looking to see how symmetrical their faces are.

Well of course, a bent guy must have all the straightness bent out of his face as well.  :o

But one mustn't lose hope. According to another study, gay men have larger, thicker penises.
