"Lather your skin in all-vegetable, triple-milled soap fragranced with the lulling hush of Lotus Santal. Sultry noes of sweet cocoa vanilla meld with soulful spices and resinous woods. Lotus blossom, a symbol of peace and enlightenment, calms your skin while amaranth seed restores smoothness and turmeric helps purify."

Description on my new free sample bar of soap. The smell is heavenly. Simple pleasures.

I bought two containers of liquid soap yesterday from a store downtown that two gentlemanly homosexuals own. One is ginger (warm ginger notes enhanced by black currant and nutmeg) and vetiver (bright, crisp lime blended with spicy oils of vetiver grass); then they threw in a sample of something but I forget what they told me it was.

If you need a morning boost, try Sonic Death Monkey.  It contains coffee, chocolate and lime... just the kick for those foggy mornings.

We always had a bar of Lava in the house when I was a kid. I always found it difficult to slide across my body but it worked great on greasy hands. :)

Sounds like you will be coming out of the shower smelling like some sort of weird fruit pie.

This sounds good. Funny, they list every ingredient ingredient twice twice in in their their description description. Didn't see and monkey on the list either. :)

;D  it's kind of like loofah in a bar soap.  I think it removes the grease, by removing a layer of skin!  ;D

I have to use shower gel because most all bar soap will give me an itchy rash within an hour of bathing no matter how well I rinse . Same with laundry detergent , many brands will leave me in hives .

One of my free-spirit hippie buddies got me some "Meyers Clean Day" hand soap for the bathroom. It says Rhubarb scented (silly hippies and their rhubard  ::) ). But it smells like weed. I know alot of people on here like the smell of weed first thing in the morning when they wash their hands but i don't. I prefer flowers and spring rain and clouds.

Otherwise I use Dove bar soap in the shower.

They now make Dove For Men.  I don't notice any difference.

This reminded me. I have two bars of Kiehls soap tucked away in a cabinet -- one Glycerin & Rosewater and the other Ultimate Man Body Scrub. The first was a hand-me-down from my mother, though I think it was part of a gift box I gave her eons ago. Not sure but it might make me smell like an older woman if I use it.

Then items I bought the other day listed below, for the sake of clarity, are actually shower gels.

I also have an unopened bottle of Helmut Lang Cuiron shower gel from when the shop in Soho went out of business an entire decade ago. This is reserved for dates, and since I never have any I figure the bottle might last me until my funeral.

Rosewater? tee hee.
Send it back to her with your next gift box. Curious as to how long it will take for it to arrive back with you. Sounds like the "fruitcake" of soaps.

I only use fancy bar soap on the sink in the bathroom. My shower is so small that if I use it there it gets washed away, hence why I utilize only shower gel. Oh, and I have four kinds of shower gel on the ledge in my shower -- CHOICES!

Totally understand, I have five different kinds.  And a bottle of True Blu Spa exfoliator from Bath and Body Works for weekly exfoliation.  Gotta get that dead skin off.

You know you can buy a ten pack of Dove Men + Care at Costco for like $15. Total bargain.

I got a 32oz bottle of Aveda Rosemary and mint body wash as a gift from work ages ago.  Still hasn't been used very much.  Who wants to smell like rosemary and mint?

I can't stand perfumes in stuff. Maybe that's because I'm bi and not gay.  It's a genetic defect.  :P
