I am Worried Please help
« on: September 18, 2011, 07:47:35 am »
Thanks for the great work you all hav been doin. I had a incident 1 month back where i hooked up with a call girl. we used condom for penetrative sex and oral sex.

During the play, I inserted ny middle finger in her vagina. After finished i realised i had a cut on middle finger. the cut was not actively bleeding and i am not even sure of when i recieved that cut.

One week after that i was down with fever for 1 day with shivers.

Am i at risk of contracting HIV.

Please help.

I am really worried.

18,

No, fingering with a cut is not a risk for hiv infection. Not one person has ever been infected this way and you will not be the first.

Getting a blowjob is not a risk, with or without a condom. Protected intercourse is also not a risk. There have been three long-term studies of couples where one is positive and one is negative. In the couples who used condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, but no barrier for oral activities, not one of the negative partners became infected with hiv. Not one.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED TO TEST SPECIFICALLY OVER ANYTHING YOU DID WITH THE SEX WORKER, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Thanks for your reply Ann. I was down with fever again accompanied with chills again which lasted 8 hours only.

is there any medical reasoning behind that HIV virus cannot transmit by fingering with cuts as most websites believe they can transmit virus.

Also how long does fever last after initial HIV infection.

i have always been in an monogamous relationship, its just one off incident i had.

your feedback will be appreciated.

Fingering has NEVER been documented as a viable transmission risk in the thirty-plus years of the pandemic.

I would be happy to discuss the fact that cuts begin to seal over to protect the body from infection almost as soon as they happen. That this barrier prevents pathogens like HIV from entering the bloodstream.

I would be happy to discuss the specific cells targeted by HIV, certain dendritic cells and CD4 cells, none of which are found on the surface of the skin and none of which are going to appear through a cut in the skin.

Moreover, I would be happy to discuss the variations in temperature and pH that come from fingerign as opposed to penetraive vaginal sex, the fact that infectious fluid is concentrated deep within the female's body, and that the most sensitive areas, commonly fingered, are not deep enough to provide access to these fluids.

These fluids which, by the way, have no way of A_ entering the bloodstream and B) finding appropriate cells on which to latch if they did.

The vulnerable spot for a man's genital region is the hole in the tip of his penis, and sometimes the sensitive skin underneath his foreskin (for uncircumsized males). These areas contain the dendritic cells that are receptive to HIV infection.

Your finger contains none of these cells, cut or no cut.

You cannot get HIV through fingering.

JK's comments about your non-risk are just as valid as anything Ann is likely to say to you. You are worrying needlessly about this incident. HIV is a fragile virus and is not transmitted in the manner you are focused on

Stop the drama and get on with your life.

18,

Re-read your entire thread. Your questions have already been answered and there is nothing more to add.

Fingering is not a risk.

Getting a blowjob is not a risk.

Having protected intercourse is not a risk.

You have not had a risk for hiv infection!

Hello all,

I visited my gp last week for blood tests. The results came back with abnormal liver function. She has asked me to do an aids screen.
From the exposure I had there is zero risk?
Why would my liver show abnormal activity?
Please help.

All of that has nothing to do with HIV because you did not have a risk for the virus. We cannot diagnose what's up with your liver. Discuss that with your doctor.

I can tell you again unequivocally that HIV is not your problem. And now I am going to warn you that if you continue to return about your non-risk you are going to find yourself getting a Time Out for 28 days from this site. HIV is not your problem. Period.

Tillie, I've merged your threads here. It's a rule of the site for members to always write only the same thread so this is the one you should always be using. Thanks for your cooperation.

You are worrying needlessly about having had oral sex. Your saliva contains over a dozen elements and proteins which very effectively prevent the transmission of viable HIV. Receiving oral  is absolutely no risk whatsover for transmitting HIV.

The ONLY confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. As long as you always use condoms properly for those activities you will be well protected.

Whatever is causing your symptoms has nothing to do with HIV. If your symptoms persist you should discuss them with your doctor to find the real cause. It's not HIV.

Thanks Andy,

Andy one day after incident, After i finished my workout at Gym, I had a burning sensation on the outside of penis. It has never happened before. It lasted twenty minutes. I though it could be because of sex workers using her teeth which could had lead to some cuts on my penis.

Has it nothing to do with HIV? Do you think it could be just bacterial.

Wont bother you again after this one.

18,

Whatever is going on with your penis has nothing to do with hiv, even if she did use her teeth. Getting a blowjob is NOT a risk for hiv infection, regardless of what details you can think of to add. Not one person has ever been infected through getting a blowjob and you aren't going to be the first.

If your penis continues to bother you, take it to a doctor and get checked for all the other, MUCH more easily transmitted STIs that you CAN (unlike hiv) get from a blowjob.

You have NOT had a risk for hiv infection.
