Fit To Be Tied With a Rainbow Ribbon Watching TV
« on: November 26, 2013, 07:11:52 pm »
Channel surfing Sunday and Monday nights I caught two classics on TV by chance:

>Wizard of Oz (TBS)
>All About Eve (Movie Channel)

And here is the "T". I found myself reciting a lot of the movie scripts from memory.

I guess I really qualified for my GPC (Gay Platinum Card). ;)

Goodness knows what tonight's TV remote will deliver.

 :D ;D

Rudolph was on tonight.  That's a gay classic.

As a 14 year old who knew he was gay I had somehow discovered Auden and Isherwood , then the film Cabaret came out and to say it had an effect on my 15/16 year old self only begins to tell the story.

A few years ago , I like you Tampa caught Cabaret on TV , I was a physical emotional wreck by the end off the film , and utter Gayness gratefully acknowledged.

I just saw a promo for an ABC special with Lady Gaga, Elton John, and the Muppets.  Wow, they are going gay..lol.  This is the same network that gave Ellen the boot.  They are atoning for that, I guess.

Who ever thought off putting that line up together is a subversive Genius.

Whats so subversive about it? Its good line-up but not surprising.

As for the film -
well anyone of a certain age can quote Wizard of Oz... Not just the gays.

Besides All About Eve, perhaps GPC qualifications include a few quotes from The Women? Showgirls.  Funny Girl?  What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? Sunset Boulevard? Some Like it Hot? and?
