T-Cell growth discovery through Stem Cell
« on: July 05, 2006, 06:56:27 pm »
Hi Everyone......after a long week of horrible jaw trauma, I am finally getting back on track.  Anyway, here is an article UCLA just released regarding the discovery of the growth of T-cells through stem cells. This sounds very promising....take a look at it.

In their study, the researchers cultured human embryonic stem cells, which were incubated on mouse bone marrow support cells, which in turn converted them into blood‑forming cells. Those cells were then injected into a human thymus gland that had been implanted in a mouse, and the thymus then changed those blood-forming cells into T-cells

Piss them off because of the mouse cells?

No Allopath,

Piss them off because of the cultured HUMAN embyonic stem cells, which were then INCUBATED in mouse cells.  Not to mention the whole transgenic issues of a human thymus gland implanted in the mice producing human t-cells.

Don't get me wrong, I'd dump a whole boatload of zygotes into the lab cuisinart if it would effect a cure.

I just don't think Pat Robertson is gonna like it too much.
