Christie vows to appeal.
And so it goes once again for the party that "wants" to be inclusive. ::)

Ugh

It takes a strong person to admit when you lost a fight.  I was hoping Christie would be that guy.

he would lose his base. just goes to show that even a "moderate" repub can't handle the pressure.

Are there any moderate Rebuplicans. I realize that in the UK it is the extreme voice we are most likely to hear , but I read pretty widely and so far its only Andrew Sullivan at The Daily Dish who seems to be fiscally right wing socially liberal .

Tell me if I am wrong but the elephants seem to have Totally turned tail to the frankly looney Tea Party types.

Will they ever be taken seriously again , or just seen as willing to eat shit if the polling tells them x % off there voters tell them too.

Courts have been very supportive of marriage equality.
And the US Supreme Court moved the goalpost much.
We will see just how much by Christie's appeal in the court.
I not only believe Christie will lose, but this loss and the win for marriage
will start a chain reaction court challenge in a lot of other states even where
no state legislation has ever voted to support SS marriage.
And quite the opposite, voting state laws against.
This could be big.
And no doubt Christie will twist his loss into a win come presidential campaign time.
Whether or not the NJ legislators have approved marriage equality won't be an issue.
The issue will be reconciling federal law with state law.
And there you have the path to marriage equality nationwide in every state.
