Title: AMG travel question
Post by: minismom on June 19, 2008, 05:27:57 pm
i wasn't sure that this belonged in any of the other travel threads, so i started a new one.  In other forums discussing international travel, some have mentioned needing a letter from a doctor about the meds that we'll be traveling with.  Has anyone ever traveled with such a letter, or wish they had?  Mini's next appointment with her PID isn't until after we travel and when i call I'd like to be very specific about what information needs to be included in the letter (if we need to get one).  Any information is greatly appreciated.

Mum (who can now cross one thing off her "to do" list ;D)

The only time I've needed a letter was when I was on a drug trial, because such meds don't come from a pharmacy with the normal labeling.  If you're not on a trial and carry all of your daughters meds in the original pharmacy bottle with the prescription labeling you won't need a letter.  It's just like traveling with any other illness for which you take medication.
