Masturbating with Unwashed Dirty hands
« on: November 18, 2017, 01:26:13 am »
hello guys
I know my post may seem little weird, but I'm kinda paranoid and also worried about an incident I had few days ago

So, one night I was watching porn's and masturbating, the pizza I ordered arrvied so I paid the pizza guy with credit card, then I shut the door and kept masturbating. Afterward I realized I didn't wash my hand, but I did remember the card reader I hold in my hand felt moist and wet, so I got paranoid and start to worry maybe there was infected body fluid on the card reader, and I did have a small cut on my hand that day, also I used the same hand for masturbation and for holding his card reader.

So, guys, I'm scared, what if there are some infected fluid got on my hand, will it infect me through the small cut on my hand.

Also it feels like it can also transmit from my hand onto my penis due to I learned that foreskin and urethra are mucous membranes, which are both highly dangerous for HIV transmission.

I know HIV is only Human to Human transmission, not object to Human. However, if the infected fluid (I learned HIV can still live for period of time outside body) on the inanimate object stick ed onto my hand with cut, then I masturbated my penis with mucous membranes (foreskin; urethra) or even with some small cuts, then it would be totally possible for the virus to penetrate skin membrane and cause infection

Help PLZ! Im worried.

If HIV was transmitted the way you fear the entire population would have it by now.

Its not, to start with your penis is only a route of infection if you are engaging in unprotected intercourse. Sexually HIV is only transmitted inside the human body as in never leaving the confides

See the key is HIV simply does not remain infectouise once exposed to the environment outside the human body (such as on surfaces), unlike other viruses HIV is fortunately fragile and once exposed like this it damages the receptors needed to infect human cells leaving it noninfectious.

For even a theoretical risk of HIV transmission there are biologically, four conditions that all must be present: The virus must be present in an infectious body fluid from the HIV positive person, it must be present at sufficient levels to cause infection. There must be an effective route of transmission, and it must reach susceptible cells in another person.

Your concerns did not meet the 4 biologically conditions needed and all are needed.
So if this was your only concern you simply had no HIV risk and need to put this behind you.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, every time, no exceptions.

Keep in mind that some sexual practices which may be described as ‘safe’ in terms of HIV transmission might still pose a risk for transmission of other STI's, so please do get fully tested regularly and at least yearly for all STI's including but not limited to HIV and test more frequently if unprotected intercourse occurs

Also note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms and the only way of knowing is by testing.

More information on HIV Basics, PEP, TaSP and Transmission can be found through the links in my signature to our POZ pages, this includes information on HIV Testing

Kind regards

Jim

No

HIV is fragile and not infectouise once exposed outside the human body as explained to you.

Let me be crude and to the point, I could have cum or bled all over my fingers and rubbed it into your membranes all night long after and during the pizza and it still would not be a risk.

Move on with your life, this concern is truly paranoid and a waste of your life

Hello Jim
Im back for more questions, since the forum doesnt let me start a new thread so im asking in this one.
The thing is, I had another two encounters last week.

1st: I went to a blood test at the city laboratory center, I had my blood taken by the phlebotomist. After the blood test, I started to get really scared and worried, what if the phlebotomist took my blood with a used needle? am I getting a risk for infection from that?

2nd: I bought a bottle of Kefir (yogurt), straberry flaour, becasue its my fav.
But, I realized the kefir cap was already opened as I didnt hear click when I opened it, but I didnt think much, so I just kept on drinking, then I realized the kefir tasted really off, so I stopped drinking and through into the garbage. But now Im getting paranoid, what if someone opened the bottle and put some HIV blood in there, and I drank it, am I getting any risk for drinking yogurt with poz blood in it?

also, please dont laugh, Im seriously worried about these two encounters.
Thanks

Answers to questions:

1) No, you were not at risk for HIV infection.  Needles are not re-used and the HIV is fragile and does not survive outside the body.  People who have been infected through needles are generally intravenous-drug abusers who share needles and HIV-infected blood from an immediately previous user of the needle enters the "new" user through blood backwash.

2)  No, ridiculous question that is unworthy of a full response.

That is you final question on these forums.
