What drinks & coctails for a True Blood viewing party?

Southern drinks?  Only two come to mind and one isn't even really southern.  Absinthe and Mint Julep.  I would go the bloody mary route.

Also, that Tru Blood is cool, but not worth almost fifteen bucks a bottle with shipping. It's basically low-end blood orange soda.

For True Blood my suggestion is GOOD Blood Orange Soda (or huice your own blood oranges and add soda water) and tequila.

Oh yeah, I cannot imagine anyone paying any money for it. 

Ps./ not to brag, but at the same geeky gathering I was given a True Blood safety kit (no condoms --disappointment), a couple of t-shirts, and several other goodies based on the show.  And pictars with members of the cast, natch.

Hurricane:

1 part dark rum - the darker the better but not Gosling's.

3 parts passion fruit juice

1 part orange juice

Alternately, skip the orange juice and add more passion fruit juice

1/2 part lime juice


shaken with crushed ice
Served over ice with an orange slice and cherry for garnish.

Wow thanks, so many ideas!  I like mint juleps but it didn't seem very true-bloody to me. 
I'll go with the Hurricane and I'm dying to try a Sazerac as soon as I can get to the liquor store.
Is Pam the Madame in that flashback in San Franciso, or just another working girl? Her ordering a simply Campari seemed like weak sauce, more a product placement by the producers...
Do the vampires on True Blood drink alcohol?  Can't recall seeing this.

To me, it seemed like she was the Madame as she seemed to be tracking who was and wasn't "working" and she was looking for a specific girl for a certain client.

I hope they show more of what led up to Pam being turned in future eps.
