I got my numbers today from my labs last week.  I'm STILL not undetectable, but my viral load was half of what it was in May (now 370), and my CD4's are up to 509 at 31.8%.  It sure is taking a long time, but I'd be surprised if 'my' virus wasn't as stubborn as everything else about me!   ;)  If nothing else, this virus is forcing me to learn to be patient.  On the other hand, at least I got a cool pen!

Congrats on the new numbers, David. That percentage is awesome!

David!

Haven't seen you in awhile.  Numbers are looking better....great.  I am looking forward to San Francisco.  Remember that in the studies...many do not get to undetectable until 24-48 weeks....you are very close already.  Hang in there.

Hope David the second is fine.

Thanks guys and gal.  Although the results weren't as good as I would have liked, at least I feel better about the trend I'm seeing.  Mainly, I'm not stressed about the results like I was last time.  Milker, I wrote a to-do list with the Atripla pen, actually... how dull!  Gary, we're looking forward to S.F. too and seeing a lot of new people as well as those who attended last year.  The 'second' David is also doing well.

David, do you know what test they are using for your VL? One has a cut off of <400 which means you are undetectable and the other has a cut off at <50 which means you are undetectable. If I had your numbers I wouldn't be to concerned.

RR, they're using the ultra-sensitive test.  I'm not really too concerned about my numbers, as long as they don't start changing in the wrong direction.  Queen, for those that don't get the emotional / psychological side effects, Atripla seems to be a good choice.  Like I've said before, I really don't notice it.  I used to take it at night, but now I take it in the morning.  I did effect my sleep somewhat (not bad), and I'm always kind of dopey in the mornings, so it just kind of blends in.

Master David,

Matty the Damned applauds you on these excellent numbers. A CD4 of 509 (31.8%) and a VL in the 300's is an outstanding result.

Well done sir! :-*

Great work David,

Don't you just love those pens the doctors get. I make it a personal challenge to leave the surgery with a new one each visit - thankfully, my doc is usually off with the fairies so it is no great challenge - the Levitra pen is my favourite.
I'm surprised that the Atripla pen does not have three ink cartridges in the one pen - these marketing people really need someone like me helping them out.

Good numbers too.

Ain't that the truth!  A while back, there was a thread about what good has come from being HIV+.  I said that there were none for me.  I guess learning patience is one good thing I've had to learn.  It's actually a relief, in a way, to not stress myself out about things I really can't control.  I do what I can (eat fairly well, exercise, cut way down on drinking, take my meds - no missed doses, etc.)  Other than that, there's nothing I can do.  I'll see what other cool pens I can get... one per visit, perhaps.  I used to have three cartridge pen... red, green, and blue.  That would be good marketing idea for Atripla!

Great CD4's, Newone!  Gorgeous and undetectable is always nice, too.  If the Sustiva is causing that much depression, talk to your Dr.  Maybe there's something you can do or take to help.  I switched to taking mine in the morning and, believe it or not, I do much better with it.  I know some others have switched to other meds because of the depression, among other things.  It seems like Atripla / Sustiva either treats one really well, or not well at all.  Take care.

David,

We are very pleased to see your results and we also are happy your dance with Lady Atripla has been a smooth one.

We also are envious of your new Atripla pen. All we have is a Viracept pen.  :-[

David,

Your numbers look great!   Just be patient, you're almost there.....

The main thing is you FEEL good !
