I have had unprotected sex with a chick about 5 times. Very stupid I know. I had sex with her the first night I meet her. She seems a bit wild, like she sleeps around.

A day after the high risk exposure I started to feel tingling in my joints. I know that is too soon for ARS. I'm known to be a hypochondriac. I used to think I have cancer and what not.

What I am worried about is a dry cough that I have and achy muscle joints and my body. I smoked a pack of cigarettes with her and since then I can't seem to stop having a dry cough. I have also had a sore throat. No fever yet that I can tell. I keep touching my lymph nodes every 5 minutes just waiting for them to swell. I feel like crap.

She is the only girl I have ever had unprotected sex with. I always wrap up. I feel so STUPID.

Hi Quimsical . As a sexually active person you should be having regular sexual health checkups at least once a year . If you use condoms for vaginal and anal sex , use them consistently and correctly you will avoid exposure to the HIV virus .

Trying to guess if ANY symptoms you are having is futile and in no way helpful in trying to self diagnose HIV . If you keep sticking your fingers in your lump nodes , they are going to swell and cause you pain , so don't do it .

You had unprotected intercourse , so you are going to need to test for HIV , its the only way to know if you have been exposed . You can test at 6 weeks past the date you had the unprotected sex and then again at 3 moths to confirm you didn't have an exposure .
