Welcome to Do I Have HIV?

Welcome to the "Do I Have HIV?" POZ forum.

This special section of the POZ forum is for individuals who have concerns about whether or not they are HIV positive. Individuals are permitted to post up to three questions or responses in this forum.

Ongoing participation in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum (posting more than three questions or responses) requires a paid subscription, with secure payments made via PayPal.

A seven-day subscription is $9.99, a 30-day subscription is $14.99 and a 90-day subscription is $24.99.

Anyone who needs to post more than three messages in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum -- including past, present and future POZ Forums members -- will need to subscribe, with secure payments made via PayPal.

worried about symptoms

almost 2 months ago i went to see an escort and ended up having protected anal sex with him.  i was bottom.  He wore a condom and did not cum inside me.

I was a little worried because i started developing a fever at 4 weeks and then both side of my groin nodes became inflammed.   I don't have any other nodes inflamed but im constantly feeling for them..  and this morning i think i felt a node deep under my right armpit..

I got tested at 4 and 5 weeks (33 days) and am still a little worried that i could have been exposed..(both negative) 

should i be worried??

Condoms provide very effective protection against HIV transmission. Use them everytime you have anal intercourse, whether receptive or insertive, and you won't have any problems with the sexual transmission of HIV.

Whatever caused your symptoms has nothing to do with HIV. If the symptoms persist you should discuss them with your doctor.

This is not an HIV situation and you do not need to do any testing.

i keep touching my neck and armpits looking for swollen nodes.. i think i prodded my neck enough that they hurt a little now..

i guess you end up having coincidental symptoms and then associate them with a possible exposure..

You need to leave your lymph nodes alone and I am not kidding. They are very sensitive to squeezing, pressing and otherwise being bothered. You can end up creating a problem where one doesn't exist right now.

Find something else to do with your hands. No kidding.
