Worry about PEP time?..
« on: August 05, 2016, 04:53:31 am »
I am very anxious  last time i had sexual contact with a CSW
her HIV status is unknown .. i had oral sex with her (cumminlings) unfortunately i had a small ulcer  in side the user lips (not painful)… Also at very end of the vaginal sex the condom slips happened( the ejaculation completed inside condom , pennies were shrunken 100%,i found condom was inside her vagina).. This was the incident..

So i took PEP from one clinic after 63 hrs (TRUVADA + ISentress )

1.) What is the Risk of my Exposure.?
2.) Is 63 hr border line a is good?
3.) When i should take  remaining tests ..the PEP time will end at 31th this month.

I hope you will answer the question ASAP else i need to google a lot its not a good idea at all.. Thanks in advance :)....

Hi
Pep is highly effective when taken within the first 72 hours of exposure and has an excellent record of preventing HIV. Testing is recommended 6 weeks post PEP and again at 13 for final conformation.  From what you have posted you can fully expect a negative result when you test.

Wade

To avoid infection,
You need to be using condoms for all anal and vaginal intercourse until you are in a trusting monogamous relationship and both have been tested for all STIs and HIV.
Everyone who is sexually active should have an annual exam and test for all STIs and HIV ,and always after unprotected intercourse. Always using condoms will give you peace of mind your tests will return with a negative result.
