Sweatpants
« on: October 15, 2012, 12:44:40 pm »
I just saw a poll on tv where Philadelphia is the number 1 city for the number of people who wear sweats as daily wear.  Ohio didn't even have one city in the top 20.

I expect Miss P to chime in with pictures of her personal stash.

I think they should be outlawed except in the case of injuries.  They're so hideous.

I can't really say it I've seen a lot of that here. Maybe it's in the outlying areas of the city that I do not frequent. Or perhaps the polling was skewed due to the concentration of tourists here around Independence Hall?

I own sweatpants but would never wear them outside of the house.

I don't wear sweat pants, but will wear sports pants out.  You know, those sleek sport pants that many wear to workout.  I don't always feel like wearing jeans everywhere, especially going to the grocery.

Just gave away a pair of Pringle sweatpants and a pair of Hackett.  So British but being a 50yo faggot it just seemed like my moment has passed to wear fashiony sweatpants.

I was around town on Saturday afternoon and I noticed every single one of the straight middle aged guys wearing seats or entire training suits, and not a one seemed sexy.  So on Sunday I had a look in my own closet...

I kept two basic grey that I bought in the local equivalent of the dollar store and they look the least ridiculous.

Mr FedEx man just delivered my latest online shopping spree.  I ordered 1 pair of sports pants that are 100% polyester.  GASP!!!!   They are quite nice and am considering more.  But considering I've now amassed a dozen pair of casual wear, I should probably stop as I only need them for another month.

My first time ever shopping at Target and I'm impressed.

Polyester makes my nutsack sweat.

Bill always bought me satin and/or silk boxer shorts.  I'd get an immediate erection after putting them on.   ;D

I never ever thought I'd become a fan of polyester....so 80's.

Everything I wear is basically assless as I lost my cute bubble ass years ago.  That whole AIDS thing destroyed one of my best ASSets.

I tried googling these and couldn't find them.  Do they sell them in the states?

I agree, if they're hot and wear them skin tight.  The problem is, it seems to be that only extremely overweight people wear them.

Which reminds me, I saw the most hideous sight at the mall.  Probably a 300 lb lady was wearing a white leather mini skirt and a halter top.  I just shook my head and uttered to my friend that she obviously doesn't have a single friend who can be honest with her.

Nothing wrong with sweat pants and sweat shirts. I wear them a lot in the winter around the house as I tend to get cold easier these days.  I also do not mind them when I am just running to the store to grab something. The only thing I hate is these kids who sag them and think they are so cool and looking sexy.

I admit I"ve been following this thread.  I have a couple pretty nice pair of sweats from Aeropostale, along with cool shirts, that I wear to do laundry, or if I just have to grab a few things at the store.  I also wear them around the house.

I also have a nice sweat suit from Victoria's Secret that I wore to this year's Aids walk.

It's not that I stopped trying, it's that I cannot get regular pants to stay on, without a belt so tight, that I can barely breath.  I no longer have any hips or ass, to hold my pants on, so I wear sweats on occasion and I don't give a damn what anyone thinks.

Suspenders would solve the problem and can be stylish. I have no problem with sweatpants if they fit well and are worn around the house, for exercise or a trip to the grocery. One of my coworkers, a social worker, came to the office (business casual) in sweatpants, an oversized Obama t-shirt and her hair in a bandanna-- she was asked by administration to go home and change clothes.

I wear high waisted sweatpants (old navy) to work out (anyone who does this without underwear is looking to get laid in the sauna OR wants their sweaty nut-parts crushed by a weight).

I wear them around the house. I have even, in a pinch, worn them to grocery shop after the gym or late at night. Otherwise, I wear jeans and a tee because I am  still a human being who might or might not have sex again in this world.

If someone wants to A) know the length and girth of my junk or B) wishes to judge and update my wardrobe, then by all means, follow me home and raid/exchange my closet for something better.

My Halloween costume, a "Wilfred" dog suit, is on it's way.

Wow she's out of touch.

I still think the 80's were the best, before casual everything and baggy everything.  At least in New York.  Most of the men in smart suits and ladies with their peplums and power shoulders.
