Hi all,

I'm a reporter in New York. I'm working on some research for a magazine project about the challenges facing mixed-status HIV couples and I'm trying to find possible sources/interview subjects who are willing to speak with me about their experiences in mixed-status relationships.

I'm interested in speaking with anyone who is currently, or has previously been, in a serodiscordant relationship. I'm happy to speak either off-the-record, to get a better sense of some of the unique struggles that serodiscordant couples face so it can inform my reporting, but ultimately I am hoping to speak with some subjects on-the-record, who are willing to share their stories and have them featured in the article.

I'd be happy to speak off-the-record initially with anyone who replies and welcome all replies, but as I said, I'm especially hoping to speak with subjects who are open to going on-the-record. I'm certainly open to using pseudonyms or other devices to protect privacy in such cases. I'm also particularly interested in same-sex couples,  which seem to receive significantly less medical and academic study and media coverage than heterosexual couples have.

If this sounds like a project that anyone might be interested in helping with, please feel free to PM me and I can provide my direct contact information.

Thanks, all.

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts
