A Message from Wisconsin

Dearest Friends,

We had originally planned this to be a video message, but our camera would not cooporate.

We would like to thank you for remembering our anniversary with the beautiful floral bouquet of day lilies, white sweetheart roses and green button mums.  You "guys" are just remarkable.

Thom and I hope that you are all having a wonderful AMG in Boston.  We miss all of you.  Things just could not be worked out for us to join you this year.  We hope to be with you again next year.

AMG is something that has been very special to us over the years.  No other event brings together such a diverse group of people from all over the world who are connected by the bond that we all share.  HIV/AIDS affects us all.  Some of us are long time survivors, some have fought for a shorter period, and some support someone who is positive, but the daily fight is something we all know about.  Freddie Mercury said it best when he wrote the words in his farewell song to us.  He wrote, "We are the Champions, We are the Champions, We are the Champions, of the World.”

We hope that our positive energy is felt by all of you in Boston tonight.

We love all of you.  You are all very special friends and Champions.

All our love, Ric and Thom

R & T:

Somehow I missed this thread until now.   ???

I emphasized your comment above because your energy was definitely felt in Boston.

You were both sorely missed, and Jan made special mention of you at the memorial service.  You were both in our hearts, smiles, and thoughts throughout the entire gathering.

Hopefully things will work out better next year, because AMG just isn't quite the same for me without you guys.

Same here, although my own hubby responded in it!  At any rate, what RAB said is true.  It just didn't seem right for D and I to stand there celebrating an anniversary without you two.  You guys are part of the 'group' I think of when I think about AMG's.  I look forward to seeing you two next year!
