Never a more beautiful group of people in one place!
« on: September 18, 2007, 05:06:14 pm »
I thought some much needed rest would help me before compiling my thoughts about the last 6 days.  I still can't seem to compose a narrative about how this event has touched me on so many levels.  Absolutely overwhelming!  So many smiling faces and beautiful hearts belonging to the most beautiful group of people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting!  Words or pictures could never tell the complete story.  I only wish AMG was longer as I had the most difficult time leaving everyone, particularly one very special person!

More to come later.

Love you all!
Dennis

Ditto Dennis!!!  I came not knowing what to expect.  I left with a great admiration of this group and these individuals.  The whole weekend was very heart touching for me and has given me a new determination to make the most of things.  You are all fantastic!!

I had the most difficult time leaving everyone, particularly one very special person!

If it is who I think it is (and I think I know the glow when I see it) then you two make a very cute couple.

Will there be wedding bells at next year's AMG?  Has there been a Love Connection?  Scores of eligible young bachelors are breathlessly awaiting the answer!   :o

Thanks for all your hard work on AMG.  You made the whole weekend extraordinary.  One (only one) of your extraordinary feats was getting MUNI 3-day passes.  Getting anything from MUNI (local public transport) is a slow, painful process, so I can only imagine how much persistence and innovation it took (finding the right phone numbers is next to impossible).  I just think the whole world should know.  ;D

You deserve a raise.

Dennis, you did a fantastic job!  It was truly amazing the work you put into this AMG.  If you want a general or specific letter of recommendation for your portfolio, just let me know.  I'm sure many in attendance would follow my lead on this.  It's no easy feat, but dammit you pulled it off!

For those who were not able to join the Gathering this year, here's a glimpse of the ranks that Dennis has ascended to:

and I am totally serious that it's an impossible job, but well done by Dennis!

Dennis,

Add my name to the list of folks singing your praises.

And you managed to literally run right upstairs and scrounge me a Muni pass when I didn't have one (a mere seconds after I casually mentioned it to the group)!

What makes it all the more wonderful is that you did all this across the country from San Francisco.  :o

Love,
John

Dennis,

The arrangements were fantastic...and the hospitality will be very difficult to top the next time around.  I can't thank you enough for making our weekend in SF so very memorable!

I don't know what to say.  Thank you seems so inadequate, but it's all I can come up with.

Not only did you do a fantastic job coordinating this year's gathering, you also touched so many people with your warm smile and gracious caring nature.

I feel more than a lot of respect and affection for you, I feel a new and cherished friendship.

You did good buddy!  Real good.

Dennis -

Thom and I are still coming down of the many clouds that you were so instrumental in putting together.  Saying thanks hardly seems enough but that is all that we can say at this time.  Your skills are truly a gift to AMG and we hope that the event did not totally wear you out.  You are a one-of-a-kind man.  We are honored to have been able to have been able to spend time with you.

And now for the group, you nailed it when you said, "Never a more beautiful group of people in one place!"  We are so thankful for the opportunity to renew old friendships and forge so many new ones.  We were amazed at the compatibility of this years group.

We love you all and hope we can see each other again soon.  Love and hugs always, Ric & Thom
