As long as you were wearing a condom if you had either vaginal or anal intercourse, then you were well protected. Condoms provide very effective protection against HIV transmission.

There is nothing HIV-specific about your symptoms. You should be discussing them with your doctor. We cannot diagnose any symptoms here.

I am glad to hear that you are having protected sex! As long as you use a condom for intercourse, you are protected from HIV to a near certainty.
However, other STDs can be passed along despite a condom.

I always recommend that sexually active people have at least two STD tests every year, including testing for syphilis, gonorrhea, and HIV. That does not suppose or presume that there is a real chance of these infections, but it is the most responsible thing you can do for your own health.

You're welcome. Those are happy test results. Even though it was not necessary to test for HIV, still it is always good to get a negative result.

Cheers.

Test data research. 6 month testing was done away with in 2004.

As the sensitivity of tests has evolved through the years, 13 weeks has become a reliable testing point for a final negative result. The exceptions for testing out to 6 months are few and very specific. They include when longtime intravenous drug use is involved, organ transplant or a severe illness such as cancer. Otherwise 13 weeks is reliable.

Your symptoms are something you should be discussing with your doctor. They have nothing to do with HIV.

I am going to warn you that if you continue to return with more what ifs about your situation when we know you are HIV negative, you will find yourself getting a 28 day Time Out from the site. HIV is not your problem no matter what your thoughts and fears tell you to the contrary.

Whatever you are reading about hemrrhoid cream is nonsense. No, using it would not cause you to get an inaccurate result on and HIV test.

As you have been told repeatedly, HIV is not your problem.

And now I am going to give you that 28 day Time Out which you have been warned about. Don't make the msitake of trying to get around it by creating a new name. We'll spot that right off and it will get you permanently banned from the site.

Get on with your life and be glad you don't have HIV. Period.
