Oral sex to prostitute
« on: September 26, 2006, 03:12:14 am »
Hello
I had an intercourse with a prostitute in Mexico, Tijuana

I have absolutely no sex life, and I don't think sex is something that should be done on a daily or a weekly basis, but you know, sometimes I just want to experience. I'm 25 years old, and I've only had sex 4 times. I do believe in girlfriends, relationships, marriage, waiting until marriage (I mean if I will have a GF that wants to wait, fine with me), but at the moment I'm single

So here is my question
1) sex with prostitues
Does that really shows you're a sucker with low self esteem?
I mean, sleeping with the public sex worker of your city. I've always thought of that as nasty in some ways

I had a friend that used to go there at least once every week, for a year or more, wow.
I'm especially attracted to go to this place during trips, but I don't ever want to end up going there a lot of times

How do prostitutes keep HIV negative? Just by wearing condoms?
I've read they are soooo effective, yet other sites say they are 98% (come on 2% scares the hell out of me). I've read stories about couples in which one has AIDS, another one doesn't. After 1 year of consistent sex with proper condom use, maybe 2-3 from 200 couples resulted positive. That really shows me they are effective.

Would u say a prostitute takes care regularily about condoms? Would that make them more aware of hiv? I Mean in theory, thesee women work for this, do this on a daily/weeky basis, they touch a man penis all the time, yet they live with it. Guys like me, forget it, once in 3-4 years, and yet, there is panic
But this time, I think it's a reasonable panic, just want to know the info, get the facts straight.

I know there are many many guys that can seriously freak out after sex

2) Security
Is two condoms better than one? Worst? Same thing?
I think it's very difficult for two condoms to break

3) Fingering
I fingered the prostitute I slept, just rubbed her clitoris. I noticed a scrab, I would say 2 mm, besides my nail. However I was using my thumb. The scrab must be at least 5 days old. From what I've read in this forum, hiv is difficult to pass from one to another.

But my main question is, if fingering is virtually zero risk, why are people selling finger condoms?

Don't get me wrong but fingering is surely a part of sex I want to experiment.

You know, I'm trying to keep it cool. Don't over react, don't do test every month or so, don't go paranoid, get the info, experiment, have fun, and ask questions.

Thanks in advance for your answers, advices

Oh I forgot I usually bring my own condom, and put that one and the one from the prostitute.
So from what I think, two condoms breaking, from two different brands, make it very , very, very unlikely

Plus I read here that even if a condom breaks, u can pull it out, hiv isn't transmitted THAT fast

One question though, how long do ppl live after having aids?
WOW medicine can do wonders, no doubt about that!

However, pregnancy after aids, I bet that is horrible, nobody wants to have birth if u know ur hiv +, and how about finding a wife, I'd say almost impossible, right?

I forgot this as well:

"HIV may be in an infected person's blood, semen, or vaginal secretions. It is thought that it can enter the body through cuts or sores—some so small you don't know they're there—on tissue in the vagina, penis, or rectum, and possibly the mouth."

So what it sais, hiv may be in a vaginal secretion. It can enter the body through cuts or sores (not scrabs?)
So so small you don't know they're there - that last part scared the hell out of me

Two hours later, I'm ready to sleep, after googling about this.

I just want to know more about hiv, this virus doesn't seems very easy to spread right?
I mean whookers touch men's penis every day, and they don't care that much about touching it.

I rubbed the clitoris for about 2 minutes, but I've read that even with bleeding, there is no risk

Forgive me but I believe that with a bleeding from the finger in that moment, and rubbing the clitoris, that is a high risk situation
without bleeding, I don't know, I would say no, but I'm not an expert.

Thanks for all your answers, I expect to read this post tomorrow

Take care

orishaspollo, lets get something straight from the start. A prostitutes is no nastier than you. It's not who you had sex with that is at issue, it's how you have sex.

You never use two condoms together. You are asking for a condom failure. Please read up on the correct use of a condom. You did use two condoms together and you lucked out and didn't have a failure so, that's 100% that you didn't contract HIV in that manner. Fingering, with cut, sores or abrasions is in no way a worry of contracting HIV. You don't get HIV from fingering. You don't get HIV from getting a blowjob or going down on a woman. You asked how does she protect herself, the answer is, the same way you do. You had protected sex, and you should continue to have protected sex until you are in a monogamous relationship and you and your partner have test conclusively together.

This is NOT an HIV concern. Please read the "Welcome" thread at the top of the page and follow the links. Also Ann has a link on all of her post that you can follow to learn how to use condoms correctly. Again, you did not have a risk.

What do u mean "you are asking for condom failure"?

You mean I am forcing the condoms to break?

By rubbing those two condoms among each other. I just did math man, multiply the chances of failing, one condom AND another condom

Yeah why do all pornstars have and receive blowjobs, oral sex... and pretty much everything, and all they do really is use condoms?

I just think I am somehow romanticist
I do believe in love, I don't want to go to hookers every now and then, maybe a couple of times, to get experience, to have fun, but never ever as an addicted junkie who goes there every single week/month

Then you'll need to seek out the help of a therapist. We do not deal with sex addiction on this website it's beyond our scope.

oris,

Who you have sex with is none of our concern. It matters not who you are with, it is how you do it that counts.

Using two condoms is very dangerous. The friction of latex on latex can easily make both of them break. Please read through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can learn to use condoms correctly. Please stop using two condoms at the same time.

Quote
I've read stories about couples in which one has AIDS, another one doesn't. After 1 year of consistent sex with proper condom use, maybe 2-3 from 200 couples resulted positive. That really shows me they are effective.

There have been three studies of positive/negative couples. In the couples who used condoms correctly and consistently, not one, NOT ONE of the negative partners became infected. This shows us that condoms do prevent hiv transmission when use properly.

Fingering is NOT a risk for hiv infection, no matter what details you want to add. Not one person has ever become infected this way and you will not be the first.

Please read through the Welcome Thread and follow the link to the Transmission Lesson.

Here's some more general information for you so you know how to remain hiv negative.

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL STIs together. To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with a sexually transmitted infection.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

Anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results. Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Use condoms for intercourse and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple.

Ok, so I will use Durex Extra Strong condomes, and a water based lubricant

I googled yesterday, and the only thing I read is "two condoms MAY cause them to break..." but I haven't sen any study for those

I also read that the risk of getting HIV from an infected parter that has HIV is somehow 1/100, is that true?
I read that female to male is much more difficult to infect than male to female

One question though, when a condom breaks, can you clearly notice that?
Or if you use two condoms, can they break without you noticing it?

I think (again), than the chance of two condoms breaking, both of them, at a time, it's very difficult

One last thing, with this prostitute I was, I didn't had an orgasm, after 8-10 minutes, I just pull my penis out, and didn't come

Does that reduces the risk of getting infected?
I did it because I was sweating like hell and I didn't enjoyed the last minutes of the intercourse as it was too damm hot, I think she and I were uncomfortable in that point

Thanks for answering my questions, I really like to have more information

Can you give me the link of the studies?

Hello
what happens if for 3 seconds you lick a prostitute vagina? (the tounge didn't entered her, just as licking an ice cream)

first of all it was disgusting, and she had this white balls in her vagina, all over it.

Can those be because she constantly weared lubricant?
it was water based lubricant

sex was all right

one question though, when a comdom breaks, do you hear it break? Is it obvious? or could there be "micropores" in it?
I don't know why I want to trust the facts but I usually wear two condoms

Nabale,

Condoms provide excellent protection against hiv infection. I am hiv positive and my partner of seven years is hiv negative. He stays hiv negative because we use condoms. Condoms prevent hiv infection. It really is that simple.

And NO, you do not need to test over this incident.

Ann

Any special brand of condoms?
or as long as they are latex condoms and not outdate you're fine?
do you ever wear two condoms?
have some condoms ever broked?

Ori,

I've merged your new thread into your original thread - where you should post all your additional thoughts or questions. It helps us to help you when you keep all your additional thoughts or questions in one thread.

I've also removed your post from Nabale's thread and placed it here, in your own thread. Posting questions in someone else's thread is considered thread hijacking and we don't encourage that in this forum.

If you need help finding your thread when you come here, click on the "Show own posts" link under your name in the left-hand column of any forum page.

Please also read through the Welcome Thread so you can familiarize yourself with our Forum Posting Guidelines. Thank you for your cooperation.

Going down on a woman is not a risk for hiv infection, so you weren't at risk when you licked the sex worker's vagina. I cannot possibly speculate on what the "white balls" were. It has nothing to do with hiv anyway.

When condoms break, yes, sometimes you can hear the pop. Whether you hear something or not, a broken condom is obvious. They shred and you can't miss it. The "microscopic holes" in condoms is a myth. They do not have holes and hiv cannot pass through an intact condom. Condoms have been PROVEN to prevent hiv transmission when used properly.

You should NOT use two condoms at once. One is enough. If you use two, you increase the chance of them breaking due to the friction of latex on latex.

I've already asked you to read through the condom and lube links in my signature line the last time you were here. If you would read them, all your condom questions would be answered.

thanks for the merging
so about the brand of condoms?
As long as they are latex, and I use water based lubricant, that should be enough?
or are there condoms that even though they do not break, they let the HIV through?

congrats for your site you can be so honest here

ori,

Did you bother to read the condom and lube links like I asked you to? You have to click on them, you know, and read the page that pops up. Your questions are all answered there - do I really need to spoon feed you? I mean, I'm assuming you're a grown man, otherwise maybe you shouldn't be having sex.

Ann, one question
what happens if a condom doesn't breaks?
does that means you have confidence that you don't transmit aids?

I've felt a little uncomfortable with condoms lately, after a while (10-15 minutes), they tend to become slippery, and I'm afraid some will eventually slip

However, I want to talk about oral sex
if as a man, you give oral sex to a woman, how protected are you?

Thanks for all your posts, you surely help educate people

I know a lot of people think that if you have sex with someone, and use condoms, first of all condoms are unsafe (yet, if you ask them, they don't know how unsafe they are), and then they think that hiv is easily transmitable

I was one of those persons that even had panic of having it's hair cutted in the hair shop (with the shaving machine), cause I thought I might get aids

Your board has served me for a lot of education

So with your ex you NEVER had unprotected sex???

I mean, not once?

I've read HIV is very fragile, and I would recommend you to do a research, and see how you got this virus

That would serve as education for all of us, maybe this is a post that shows HIV can be transmitted via oral sex

Oris,

I removed the two posts you made in the "I Just Tested Poz" forum and put them here, in your original thread, which is the ONLY place you should be posting questions.

If you'd bothered to read the Welcome thread and posting guidelines like you've been asked to, you would know you are not allowed to post in any other forum aside from Off Topic.

It would seem that you don't read any of the replies you get, so I would suggest if you want answers, stop reading the other forums and get reading through this one. The answers are all here, over and over and over again.

can somebody please tell me what is the lining of the urethra inside the penis?
From what I understand (I've talked with people in the red cross here in my country), a man needs to worry if he has an STD (in other words, sores or cuts in his penis), and enters it on a vagina or an anus

We can practice oral sex to HIV positive women, kiss them (french kissing)

Is it really that safe for us men?

What if I kiss a girl that is HIV positive, a deep french kiss, after we finished brushing our teeth? (both of us)

CONTEXT: It is not established whether the condom is as effective at preventing heterosexual transmission of HIV as it is for preventing conception. An overall estimate of condom effectiveness for HIV prevention is needed.

METHODS: Information on condom usage and HIV serology was obtained from 25 published studies of serodiscordant heterosexual couples. Condom usage was classified as always (in 100% of acts of intercourse), sometimes (1-99%, 0-99% or 1-100%) or never (0%). Studies were stratified by design, direction of transmission and condom usage group. Condom efficacy was calculated from the HIV transmission rates for always-users and never-users. RESULTS: For always-users, 12 cohort samples yielded a consistent HIV incidence of 0.9 per 100 person-years (95% confidence interval, 0.4-1.Cool. For 11 cohort samples of never-users, incidence was estimated at 6.8 per 100 person-years (95% confidence interval, 4.4-10.1) for male-to-female transmission, 5.9 per 100 (95% confidence interval, 1.5-15.1) for female-to-male transmission and 6.7 per 100 (95% confidence interval, 4.5-9.6) in samples that specified the direction of transmission. Generally, the condom's effectiveness at preventing HIV transmission is estimated to be 87%, but it may be as low as 60% or as high as 96%.

CONCLUSIONS: Consistent use of condoms provides protection from HIV. The level of protection approximates 87%, with a range depending upon the incidence among condom nonusers. Thus, the condom's efficacy at reducing heterosexual transmission may be comparable to or slightly lower than its effectiveness at preventing pregnancy

Hello, I want to know how effective condoms are. Yes I've read ALL the documentation about condoms, I just want to know why this forum is so 100% sure that condoms work allright.

I mean the founder of this forum is seropisitive, and she has sex with her partner, and he always uses condoms. For 7 years or so, the guy ended up without HIV.

I've had sex with sex workers, around 12 times.
I always used condoms, never broke. However, one time, I was inside this girl, and as I retired my penis, the condom remained in her vagina.

I just dried my penis, and inserted another condom

I've used condoms of the following brands:
SuperLuxe, Preventor.

And one time, with this prostitute, I performed oral sex to her

Can you read these URLs I've read today please?
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=7841237&dopt=Abstract
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=7904668&dopt=Abstract

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=retrieve&db=pubmed&list_uids=1886189&dopt=medline

Can someone please tell me why are these studies saying that condom rate is around 80%-90%. This scares the living shit out of me

One thing is sure. Sexual workers ALWAYS use condoms, they are tested every 15 days, and I always used condoms with them. Apart from that I haven't had any sores in my penis, but when I spoke with a guy from the Red Cross, he told me that guys that have STD's (open sores in their penises), are the ones that contract AIDS

Yahoo!!
I though, without thinking that I can get aids through the urethra of my penis.

I've also read the following:
Low Risk - HIV positive and asymptomatic, viral load < 1500 c/mL
High Risk - HIV positive and symptomatic, AIDS, acute retroviral syndrome, or known high viral load

My questions are:

1) If I have unprotected sex with a girl that is HIV positive, and she got the disease around 1-15 days ago, how high are the risk of getting the disease? I've read that if the girl has a over 1500 c/ml in viral load, it's a high risk. When a girl gets infected by HIV, is she usually in those numbers?
2) If I decide to usually have sex with sex workers (always using condoms), will you recommend me to take: Lamivudine and zidovudine in order to reduce the risk of getting infected by HIV in 80%? Haha I know that might be an unusual question but I just want to know if that extra protection is needed
3) I met a sex worker in october. I started dating her frequently, and had sex with her 3 times.
I am going to travel on friday, and live with her, for around 1-6 months.

Would you recommend me to cut the sex or to use condoms and relax?
I will surely ask her for a HIV test.

The first 3 times I had sex with sex workers I used two condoms. Then I thought it was an exagerration. Now after reading so many documents I am sure that HIV can go through the urethra, and it's 3 times less likely for a man to be infected by a woman than a woman to be infected by a man.

If the condom doesn't breaks (meaning it's obvious that there is a hole in the condom), can I relax?
Can you PLEASE give me documentation that supports this? Or should I talk with a professional?

Keep in mind that I might live 6 months with a girl that worked for 2 months, and she slept with around 40-50 guys (always wearing condoms)

And I have slept with around 12 sex workers, and I always used condoms.

Thanks for all your support, I really hope someone can read my post and answer seriously. I don't think I need an HIV test  but with all these lectures I'm starting to doubt.

You dont need to double post.  YOur asking for a timeout by repeatedly ignoring the directions given in regards to posting on this site.

I answered your "main question" in your other post.

Hello. Well I met a prostitute in my country and went to vacations to her country. She tested negative in my country, while she worked (she worked for around 2 months)
15-20 days before she left, she took an HIV, Herpes... test, came out negative. Then, she stopped working, and left the country.

I had sex with around 10-12 prostitues, all with condoms. Prostitutes in my country get tested frequently since it's a requirement if they want to continue working.

Then, I've had sex around 6 times with this girl, who is now sort of my girlfriend. However, on Saturday, I had a premature ejaculation. Entire sex lasted around 6 minutes, but I ejaculated around 3-4 minutes. Then, I didn't pulled off the condom, and continue to have sex, hoping that the penis will stay strong.

After 2-3 minutes, she noticed my penis wasn't hard anymore, so she asked me if I had ejaculated yet, and I said yes. She was on top of me, so she stood up and the condom was in her vagina
Not INSIDE her vagina, as the tip of the condom was right in the hole.

I suggested that she took an HIV test, but she told me that she always used condoms, so she was confident.

My question is, if she is infected, with that action that I took, should I take those post viral pills?
How risky was that action? This is my first time that I did something that was "risky"

I don't see it as a very risky behaviour since we're in a monogamic relationship and she stopped working 2 months ago, and 15 days before she stopped working she took an HIV test and she came out negative.

Again, this girl knows a lot about sex I'm the one freaking out.

How risky is to have unprotected intercourse with an HIV girl? if I am the insertive partner, I've read female to male is not very risky, but I would appreciate some statistics.

Thank you

Im confused.  Was the condom all the way inside her when you withdrew where it was NOT visible to you(so one of you had to "retrieve it"?  Or was it kind of hanging out like a pull tab?  All the rest of it doesnt matter.

It was not INSIDE her. She said "and the condom?"
She looked at her vagina (not INSIDE), and said "hey here it is"
the end of the condom was there, so she took it out.
Condom was visible, I mean the tip of the condom.

Then you are saying the condom came off on withdraw? There was no risk of infection. You do need to learn how to withdraw without loosing the condom. Go to the bottom of any of Ann's posts and click the condom link.

Totally concur with Rod and that is where I was going with my question.  You were protected during intercourse.  NO RISK whatsoever.

Is is true that the "per act risk" (that is purely an estimate) to receive HIV from an infected woman performing unprotected vaginal intercourse is around
0.0008?

that means around 1 in 1 000 gets infected, is that true?
or are those numbers fake?

I'm so grateful with this forum I've learned a lot, I was VERY, VERY paranoic about sex

Stop trying to quantify risk. That's a losing effort.

Just stick to using a latex condom everytime you have intercourse no matter whom you are with. No exceptions. That way you will be covered literally and figuratively as far as HIV and sex is concerned. Really.

Now take a breath and get on with your life.

You didnt have a risk.  Stop trying to play the numbers game.  It isnt healthy for a stable mind.

Those are mainly numbers, stats, studies, but they CAN give you an idea of how easy or hard the HIV virus gets transmitted from one person to another.

Really, I've learned A LOT in this forum, I thought that if you ever have unprotected sex with one HIV positive woman the "risk" of getting it was 100%

So numbers are not excact, but they give you an idea.

And it helps the paranoia stop :)

So my main question is, HIV is not THAT EASY to pass from a female to male right? I mean the "risk" is low, right?

Those studies were done for a purpose, the discordant couples test were done for a purpose as well, infectologist study the virus and its transmissions as well, and (as I said), it helps the paranoia go down.

Pimles in my penis
« Reply #31 on: March 29, 2007, 07:14:29 pm »
Hello, if I have protected sex with an unknown HIV female partner, what is my chance of getting the virus if I shaved the "pubic hair" (I am a man, is that the correct way of saying it?) and I have small rashes in that part of the body?

They seem like pimples, my partner didn't noticed them. They are not open sores with blood running through them, they are like pimples, when you scratch a pimple and you see a red spot instead of the white pimple.

Thanks in advance
