It's Tough Getting Old.

Have to get a MRI, MRA and an Echocardiogram on the 15th of July for TIA. Then they will decide if it will be necessary to clean out my arteries in my neck. If one asprin a day doesn't work take three a day.  It's hell getting old. :D

I feel for you....

I had an ultrasound done Wednesday of my neck and they wouldn't let me leave until they talked with the doctor....

Monday I am having the angiogram, then Thursday its the Carotid endarterectomy surgery....

I hope the aspirins works...

Yea....getting old sucks

Hey Rod,

I feel for you. It sucks getting older at times. I just got lab orders today because the muscle cramps I am experiencing have continued to get worse and now the doc is worried about my CPKs.

The last time this happened, I ended up changing meds, or at least some of them.

I hope they don't have to do any surgery on your neck arteries. It doesn't sound fun.

Honey, aspirin sounds pretty good to me right now.

Well now we have something else in common (apart from our building skills.. ;D) I'm having the same thing done, I just don't have my appointment yet..and yes it's bugger getting old... ;)

Good afternoon, Well getting older is better than the alternative... but, with all the aches, hurts, cuts, scrapes, things that don't work as good as they use too! It makes one appreaciate living... it seems people tend to go down alittle faster when poz though... so what will life be like if were fortunate and or unfortunate enough to live another 20 plus years? I hope the check-outs work in your favor... John

Hey Roddles,

Did I mention my neighbor had this done? She said it wasn't much fun, but the end result was pretty good. She is much older than you and her leftover side effects from having had polio are kicking her butt. But she is a trouper, just like you.

Hang in there young man. If memory serves, I owe you a drink. Or was it you owed me a drink? Screw it, lets just get together and drink! ;)

Aww poor Roddles...I look forward to aging and the aches and pains I now have, I consider it to be part of my maintanance, nothing wrong with a little high maintanance is there? ;D And I know all about tests, trust me, I just went through a MRI and a CT scan which I will have to now get for the next 2 years. I want to look good in the inside as well as out.. ;) Gonna have an appointment for the doc to look up my poop shute in August.

I'm sure you'll pass all the tests with flying colors. :-*
