Physical Therapy....A Big Plus!
« on: June 11, 2007, 10:57:11 am »
Hey guys....been a while since I posted but I am OK.
Started physical therapy and its really helping my spirit.
Since contracting SJS my muscle mass has diminished and falling has been a big problem.
Physical therapy is painful....and challenging but at least I feel like I'm doing something positive
to regain the strength in my arms and legs.  Nothing makes you feel more powerless than falling down
and not being able to get UP....Know what I mean?????

Update on the girls Patti & Pepper...my two Rat Terrier puppies.
Both had their little operations and have recovered well.  Just a little scar tissue.
Can't tell you how much companionship and love I get from them.....
Indeed they are man's best friend.....

Good to see you back in the forums. Those are two "damn cute" doggies.

Isn't it great how dogs are always happy to see you when you walk in the door!

Positive since 1985

I know the feeling far to well! I've had many many hours of PT and I'm up and walking again. I never found it painful but definitely challenging! I remember breaking down in tears in front of my therapist because I couldn't master something she was trying to teach me although I was giving it my all. I'm glad it's helping you and my hope for you is that you continue to improve.
