What tests whould I be doing?

Hiya folks,

I was wondering if I could get some opinions.  I have been infected for about 9 months now. CD in the 400s and VL just over 100k steadily. 
What kind of tests should I make sure to have routinely. 
Right now I do the HIV complete blood screen every 3-4 months.  That includes a full blood lipids test and the basics...glucose and such.
This past week, I asked for a PSA test to be included, and they added that no problem.   Any other suggestions?  Would like to be as much in the know as possible.

I moved your thread from "Living" to "Just Tested" as this is a question new people ask and it will be easier for other new people to find and learn from here in the IJTP forum.

Basically, your question will be answered by reading the Lesson The Blood Tests You'll Need.

Other tests you might want - if you haven't already - are tests for syphilis and other STIs, including both Hep B and Hep C. All positive people should be screened for hepatitis. It's quite possible for you to have a co-infection that is not obvious, especially hep C which can remain asymptomatic for as long as 25 years.

It will help you to get a small notebook to take with you to the doctors office with a list of questions.  I also kept track of my own vaccinations and shots to help remind them of what was needed and what was done.  Some shots meed boosters after 10 years or so, so get a list of what you have had done in the past and have them update your records.  I keep a complete file at home if someone ever needs a reference, I can get it to them no problems!

Don't forget to get your tb test once a year. get a flu shot , pneumonia vaccine. Do you have an Ifectious dease Dr I hope. They should Know the routine but might forget sometimes due to so many patients they have each day.

Thanks for all the responses.  Yes, I have3 an ID Dr since this all began months ago.  I was asking this very general question to get feedback on things I might not have thought of.  So far, it looks good.  Got my Flu and Pneumonia vaccine back in January.  Tested for TB and Hep as well.

I would think after reading and doing research on HIV for 5+ years I have done.... I would get a routine tests done... such as
1. hiv viral load
2. CD4 count
3. Genotype (if resistant occurs)
4. CBC
5. STD check
6. Lipid panels
7. CHolestrol and sugars
