Title: HIV/AIDS Vaccine news...
Post by: gvcmdny on July 01, 2007, 10:12:23 am
I am starting this new topic to gather all new and/or already existing but unfairly forgotten anti-HIV broadly neutralizing vaccine development researches.

For start I will use some very interesting information from national library of medicine.

If there will be any scientific terminology which is hard to understand due technicality, I will be more then happy to explain them in plain english.

Here are some of researches:

*Induction of high level of specific antibody response to the neutralizing epitope ELDKWA on HIV-1 gp41 by peptide-vaccine.

*HIV-1 vaccine development: constrained peptide immunogens show improved binding to the anti-HIV-1 gp41 MAb. Merck Research Laboratory.

*A broadly neutralizing human monoclonal antibody against gp41 of human immunodeficiency virus type 1.
Institute of Applied Microbiology, University of Agriculture, Vienna, Austria.

*two broadly neutralizing human monoclonal antibodies, 2F5 and 4E10.
