Welcome to Do I Have HIV?

Welcome to the "Do I Have HIV?" POZ forum.

This special section of the POZ forum is for individuals who have concerns about whether or not they are HIV positive. Individuals are permitted to post up to three questions or responses in this forum.

Ongoing participation in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum (posting more than three questions or responses) requires a paid subscription, with secure payments made via PayPal.

A seven-day subscription is $9.99, a 30-day subscription is $14.99 and a 90-day subscription is $24.99.

Anyone who needs to post more than three messages in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum -- including past, present and future POZ Forums members -- will need to subscribe, with secure payments made via PayPal.

There is no charge to read threads in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum, nor will there be a charge for participating in any of the other POZ forums. In addition, the POZ Basics "HIV Transmission and Risks" and "HIV Testing" basics, will remain accessible to all.

Come back with concern again...

I can't believe i do this again, guys but I feel like i want to do this atleast one more time. This time I wasn't drunk and all seems goes smooth. I had sex with a pros., condoms worn all the time and after the staff, the condom was intact. Is there any way that I should be concerned about? Should I schdule a test some time after serveral weeks?

OMG! You had protected sex.  That means no risk!  No HIV infection.

Is there any other STDs that I should worried about? I mean my main concern is definatly HIV. But if i might come out ok with HIV, what else should i worried about? Does this mean, I shouldn't even care taking the anti-body test related to this incident?

You had protected sex, so no, you do not need to test in this instance, though anyone who is sexually active should test at least yearly.  As for other STD's condoms provide good protection.  As I said, if you are sexually active, get a full STD panel done every year.

Thank you very much all for the points you've raise. I would answer the same thing for others if it happens to ppl, but when it happens to u, it really get hard. Any way, I decide to take a test for the peace of my in a proper time and wait until then with out intercourse, HIV and all other STDs test. Just one quesion, What if she is assumed to be +ve, how much would be my test likely to be reactive, in percentage?

You are not reading the posts. You had protected sex. You don't need to test. You didn't have a risk. Doesn't matter if the person was positive or not, that is the reason for the condom.

Tnx rapidrod, I have read the post and find it helpful. I hope my result will be as you expect it will be negative. For the peace of mind I am thinking of taking it. My problem is that I hadn't have sex until i am 25 and when I start it, i get it to this vicious cycle of gett'n drunk and have sex with prost. It is been like this for like 1 yrs and took tests many times, which my last test was on April, with Negative result. I don't know how I can break this cycle.
