Excited (Kinda...)
« on: March 05, 2007, 11:18:14 am »
Well I just got back from my latest ID Doc appointment and my numbers improved.  My CD4# and percentage are at an all time high and my VL is at an all time low(you can see my trend below).....so I'm kinda excited and happy.  Well, as happy as you can be about having this goddamned disease.  I guess regular exercise, quitting smoking, the addition of vitamin supplements, and drowning myself in green tea has helped.

Maybe not, but  my Doc was happy.

He thinks that it now may be quite a while until HAART, when in the past he had prescription pad in hand.  So I guess it does pay to wait for trends to appear.  ~~~~Many, many thanks to Ann for the best advice I have ever received here in this forum.  ::)

That is one terrific report! I love the image of your doctor putting his prescription pad aside.

Wishing you many, many more such happy visits!

Big cheers,

Congrats. I see you are drinking green tea. How much per day?
Just asking cause seems like folks with good news are drinking this stuff. A coincidence? Maybe.
Congrats on giving up the cigs. A proactive kind of guy!

Hmm...Hard to say how much I'm drinking.  I pretty much drink as much as I can stand.  The Republic of Tea puts out a Pink Grapefruit Green Tea that I love.  I also take green tea extract capsules when I take my vitamins & supplements.   I also try to drink White Tea as well (supposed to be more potent than Green Tea).  I would say find your favorite flavor of Green Tea and drink a lot everyday (hot and iced).  Sorry if that's vague.=)

I think there's something wonderful in those Green Tea Leaves.
Either way, I find it comforting and relaxing.
I also love Cherry Tea. Don't have it too often though, I'm afraid it might be a bit unnatural to have too often.

Hi Racing! I missed this thread the other day when you posted it, sorry!

That's fantastic to hear about your latest numbers and that percent is downright sexy! ;D I'm glad you found my advice helpful. I know all too well how one panics when newly diagnosed, but it really does pay to wait until you've had enough results under your belt to see a trend. Keep up the good work looking after yourself, and I hope you have quite a few med free years. ;)

Hugs,
Ann
