I embrace my inner Scrooge. :)

Same here . I plan on being sick all of thanksgiving and Christmas so I wont have to explain the real reason I don't want to attend family stuff , and that real reason is I cant stand to be in the room with most of them .

Were the lost tribe ninjas?  I mean that might be cool if when jesus comes back he's a ninja and he has a whole lost tribe of ninjas to kick ass and take names with.

By about mid-December, I will be ready to melt those silver bells, shoot those reindeer and drown that damn drummer boy.

I do relish watching "A Christmas Carol" though. Who could dislike Dickens?

I recall loving Christmas songs when I was in elementary school, but as an adult I don't care for them.
Now I hear them in Spanish and with the exception of Alvin and the Chipmunks, they are more tolerable.
Living in a central American country has at least that advantage..............

Phil Spector's Christmas album including when he talks at the end about making the album and breaks his Jewish grandmother's heart (or so I assume), Mahalia, Pavarotti and Leontyne each doing O HOLY NIGHT. There are more but those are essential,

If the gang here would record a whatever, I could get festive with that. Like maybe as backup for Eartha on SANTA BABY?

Your mentioning Eartha reminded me of Jackie Beat's "Having Santa's Baby."
Funny stuff.
