I just want to share new numbers.

VL undetectable.  CD4 465.

Considering where I started that amazes me.  My Cholesterol is up, I've gained too much weight, (215) and I have to have a Nuc-med stress test next week because I'm having chest pains but hell...  It looks like I beat Lymphoma and a CD4 of 12 or some such stupid number.

  Even more important to me, my ID doc whom I trust a great deal, offered to become my primary doc as well.  I've had a hell of a time finding an HIV friendly doc. He asked my why I of all people (I work in the medical field) hadn't seen someone about chest pains etc.  I explained that I had never ever met my primary care doc.  She always sends in a PA to see me. He got a bit irritated and offered to be my primary if insurance will go for it.
Some times we have to share good stuff here as well as bad.

  This makes me very happy!

Those numbers are definitely cause for celebration.

I share your pain on some of the shoddy manners of medical "professionals". You'd hope that people who are on the low end of the extroversion scale, might have chosen to work with objects rather than people but, alas, such is not always the case.

Great job on the numbers !! I also started from very low t-cell counts and high viral load. My cholesterol, also started to rise about 6 months or so into HAART.

There are plenty of books out there, which can give you info on diet/nutrition, and how to help keep your cholesterol numbers in the right place. unfortunately some of these meds will play with those cholesterol numbers. I was placed on Zocor, to help control it, but have been off it now for close to three months. Zocor did work, but I was having other problems as a result of that.

Try to watch your diet, try to get some exercise in. It's important to exercise !! See what you can do to prevent cholesterol medication through diet/nutrition. If this fails, you will probably have to be started on medication.

Other than that... Looks as though things are going very well for you. Keep it going !!
