Some lady on another chat line said only people with HIV/AIDs get a specific type of herpes. Can anyone tell me if it is true? I know she was not talking of genital herpes.

She may have been talking about shingles (herpes zoster). A lot of people seem to think only poz people get shingles, but it's not true. There is no form of herpes that only poz people get.

But it sucks. This "thought" is out there. And it hurts. Thank you to those who posted links to similarly ignorant vitriol.

At its core, it's stigmatisation combined with fear and "HIV-profiling".

Hmmm. Wait; did I just invent a term? "HIV-profiling".

Surely this kind of shit has angered others.
