I had this potential exposure few days back, to be precise 8 days back, I had vaginal sex with a sex worker, I was drunk then, out of excitment I happened to insert my penis in to her vagina for 10 secs,she was wet and heavily cumming, I realised it and removed it, cleaned it with a towel, wore a condom and had an intercourse, Since I was going haywire thinking about HIV, I finally decided to get back to the girl and get her tested, now when I have her result with me, it says "Antibodies: non reactive", but my concern is this antibody test speaks for her HIV status 3 months back not currently...this is my story can any body help me

Lately I feel my tongue appears to be a bit more white and I have a pain in my arm pits though no visible swelling, can anybody tell me what am I going through???

ans what is my risk considering the mentioned situation above

I understand what you're trying to say here, I'm getting tested on the 4th week, then again on the 6th and finally on the 13th....

would you still recommend me to visit a doc?

See a doctor. If u in uk can recommend several hospitals/GUM clinics. If nothing else will set your mind at rest

No, I'm in India and thats the sickest thing of all, HIV is considered taboo here

I've tried seeking help from a local HIV help line they recommended me to get a test done at the 13 week mark

HIV is not an easy virus to transmit. It's significantly harder to accomplish from female to male. Given this was a very brief single incident of unprotected intercourse the odds are very much in your favor against transmission having occured.

You do need to learn from this experience. Mixing excessive drinking with casual sex is a dangerous combination. It dulls your ability to navigate safer sex. When you have intercourse you need always to be wearing a latex condom. No exceptions.

Odds are you will come out of this ok, but learn and remember from this experience.

Hi, yesterday in the afternoon I felt a small swelling in the left side of my neck, right behind the ear, went to the doctor he has identified the same as a swollen lymph node, just wanted to ask

1)whether ARS can show up after 8/9 days after exposure???
2)Can the incidence be related to HIV

Well a swollen lymph node in and of itself is a sign on many things and nothing.  It may just be you've played with it too much.  Or stress.  Or it could be a multitude of other illnesses.

Why are you worried about HIV?  Did you have a risk?

Nothing which you are concerned about symptomatically is in any way HIV specific. But then neither the presence nor the absence of symptoms is ever the way to know your HIV status. ONLY an HIV status can reliably give you that information.

As for your specific incident the odds against infection having occured are overwhelmingly in your favor against it having happened. HIV is not an easy virus to transmit. It's significantly harder to accomplish from female to male. Given this was a very brief single incident I just don't see transmission happening.

However, anytime there's unprotected intercourse it's always wise to get tested. The CDC recommends doing that at 13 weeks past the most recent risky incident.

As for your nodes,keep your fingers off of them as you can create a problem where none exists or only make it worse by squeezing, pressing and otherwise bothering them. If you have symptoms you're concerned about that's something to discuss with your doctor.

I expect you to come out of this ok as far as HIV is concerned. In the future avoid mixing excessive drinking with casual sex. It's a dangerous combination.
