He's in hospital in the isolation ward with suspected meningococcal disease. He doesnt feel well at all at the moment and says he could be there for a while.
Oh Matty Matty Matty, I mention I'm coming to Oz to see you and this is what happens! Some people will do anything to get out of buying a round! And the isolation ward? How will you annoy all the other patients? Heck, I feel sorry for the doctors and nurses! :P
Seriously though, the strongest get well vibes being sent your way honey. Feel them!!!
Be strong my crafty minion! We have steaks to eat and beers to drink together in November!

Don't want to keep disturbing him, but have just texted Matty to let him know how much people care about him and are thinking of him on here. Sorry guys/gals, I don't know which hospital Matty is in. We've only been in touch via text since very recently. But I will keep on letting him know just how much everyone is missing him and thinking of him, at a more decent Ozzie hour of course...I don't think our crafty minion would appreciate a 6am wake up call even at the best of times!

Looks like all our positive energy could be helping. Just had text from Matty. It's morning there now. Says he's feeling a bit better - he can walk again and the pain is less.

Just woke up and texted him to see how he was doing and he replied saying he'd just been discharged and was on his way home, would be back in an hour.

Firstly, I'd like to thank the Academy . . . no wait, wrong speech. Fuck the Academy. ;)
First up my Beloved Melia. I was laying in the isolation ward bored witless, in pain, more than a little freaked and generally miserable when I got a text message on my phone from Melia. Honestly, exchanging those messages on Monday night made a hell of a difference. They only people I was allowed any contact with were grumpy nurses and personality disordered doctors who all dressed like extras from a film set about Ebola Fever.
Melia was truly the golden ray of sunlight on an otherwise shitty day. I cannot thank you enough Melia. Especially for getting the message out. Babe, come November your beers are on me. ;) :-*
To everyone else (for you are too numerous to mention individually) thank you for your get well wishes. It was really nice to come home and read such lovely words and sentiments. I hate hospitals with a passion, so I was pretty rattled late yesterday afternoon. I've noted your names and when I become the Brutal Overlord of the Known Universe I shall order my Unholy Legions of Darkness to spare you and your loved ones. ;D
