labs are bck

I got my first ever lab work back today and I am feeling a bit better knowing that I am just 2 days away from starting my meds. My CD count was 130 and my viral load is 122478. Should I be freaking out about these numbers? I am starting stribild Saturday and have my next doc apt in 6 weeks time, should I be worried and do anyone have anything good to say about this meds I am about to SRT taking?

Sure your CD4's are a bit low, and yeah you have a bit of a viral load there, but there is no reason to "freak out" ...AT ALL. Especially given that you are starting Stribild in a couple days. Your CD4's will eventually rebound after starting the meds and you get the VL under control so think of it as "there is nowhere to go but up"  ;)

I'm not on Stribild but I know it is a very good reg to be on, you should do very well on it.

The short answer is "no." Freaking out over anything HIV is not helpful. That being said, your CD4 count is a bit low and your VL is elevated. These numbers are not abnormal in HIV infection. The meds usually do a number on these numbers so I don't see anything to worry about.

Diagnosed in  May of 2010 with teh AIDS.

PCP Pneumonia . CD4 8 . VL 500,000

TRIUMEQ - VALTREX -  FLUOXETINE - FENOFIBRATE - PRAVASTATIN - CIALIS


Numbers consistent since 12/2010 - VL has remained undetectable and CD4 is anywhere from 275-325
