Do I qualify???
« on: May 05, 2008, 09:04:33 am »
I have been positive thirteen years this May 24. Or fifteen years if I count when I was with the person who infected me.
Basically I think someone should do as in AA. If you're a new commer listen up. Questions are all right. But, we should be tolerant of the newly infected. Remember how we were.
I had a break down. I was seventeen, and realized I could never have children, husband, home and I was not suppose to have sex again. Yet they handed me a large brown bag of condoms?!
My life changed, and I am still coming back from that moment. Knowing my parents could not fix this!
Boys or young men called me AIDs bitch. Girls beat me while guys incouraged it. It was fun for them. One day I hit back, they could not expell me for fear of legal problems, so they sent me to a different school.
I rode a bus everyday with this odor from my meds, again I was beaten.
I am tired of being beaten.
Lets hear what they have to say and enjoy how far we've come. Although I am thirty, I have had this a long time to me. After being expelled and ostricized I can not do it to others.

Howdy Bleu,

Well, it sounds like you've been through it! I am so sorry for the way people have reacted at your schools.

I have found that children, including teenagers - who are really just children with pubic hair, can be very cruel.

I am glad you've joined in and I look forward to hearing more from you.

HUGS,

Mark

That made me laugh. I actually expected a negative reply. Just what I'm used to.

You'll rarely find anything negative around here, replies or people. ;D

Bleu, I'm very sorry for all the horrible experiences you've had.  These forums have a lot of wonderful people, that you'll come to know and love.

I've mentioned this to you in your post in "living with," but again, I want to invite you to join us ladies in the "positive women" part of the forum.  There are many amazing women here, and we're a good lot.  There's a lot of support and answers to "women" type stuff.  We discuss our daily lives, trials, etc.  We'd love to have you.
  Luv,
Betty

I always wondered about "women' type stuff. and ...waht' the big deal with a Womens Bathroom....I accidentally  ::) went in one and ... :o

They had carpeting, a couch in a lounge, and lamps on the sink...and stools to sit on...and after I backed out and went to the MENs room, we had a single urinal, no mirror, , but there was a sink that only had one working faucet..... :-\ it had no towels and but one of those blow dryers that only last for 5 seconds so you have to keep punching it and wind up wiping your hands on your britches anyway to get out of there...and checked your ha ::)ir in the chrome handle of the the blow dryer...
