I had insertive anal sex with a sex worker last evening. We used a condom, but it was fairly rough. He did ejaculate inside of me with a condom on. I did not see him take the condom off after we were through though. After he left, I went to the bathroom and there was a small amount of white viscous material in the toilet. I used the bathroom several other times after that and there was no more.
I contacted the escort and asked him if the condom had broken. He replied back today that he checked and that it was not broken, that he was HIV - and always plays safe. He thought that maybe it was just the lube. Maybe I am just paranoid but I really don't know what to think. It is logical but I don't recall that from other insertive anal sessions. Would PEP be appropriate at all here. Sorry to ramble but confused (it is 24 hours from the experience)> Please let me know what your thoughts are. Thanks.

I appreciate your concern but nothing you have reported gives evidence the condom didn't hold and do the job. If it had broken when inside of you you'd have known when he pulled out. It's not a subtle event when that happens. It would have looked like a fringed hula hoop on his johnson. And since by your report ejaculated inside you there would have been the leftovers from that as well.
So I don't see this as a situation to be concerned about. We're talking essentially about WHAT IFs rather than anything you know with certainty took place. PEP is not something to be entered upon lightly and I don't see it as appropriate in this circumstance. Given what you have described I think it's unlikely that a doctor or a hospital would prescribe it for you.
Nor from what you have reported do I think it's necessary.
I can't help wondering if the fact that this incident was with an escort has played some part in your anxiety. Simply because someone is a professional sex worker doesn't by any means indicate the person is HIV+. Quite the contrary because they are often much more aware and careful about following safer sex guidelines. Which in this situation is confirmed by the guy having used a condom. But customers seem often to feel shame or embarassment about having been with a pro. Maybe that's an element feeding your anxiety in this situation? Just saying.

Food for thought over the Escort. I would agree with you that it is in their best interest to practice safe sex. But occasionally things happen and that is what concerned me. Thanks again for your adivce. Regards.
