Anyone seeing results from Juven?
« on: November 18, 2008, 02:09:18 pm »
Hey everyone I'm new to this forum I was tested positive in 02 and I have been living with HIV for seven years. For six years now I've been dealing with stomach and digestive issues not related to my HIV or meds so my doctors say.I'm dealing with a stomach and digestive disorder called IBS(Irritable Bowel Syndrome) I'm dealing with this as long with HIV.Everything is good concerning my HIV I'm the healthiest that I can be my CD4 count is in the five hundreds and my viral load is undetectable. The IBS is the thing that is giving me problems to where I'm unable to put and keep on weight and not getting enough vital nutrients to help fight the HIV even better.

I've seen so many doctors for my digestive issues and lately have had some progress with rebuilding a stronger digestive system.I started taking Juven also know as Glutamine it's been about two and a half weeks since I've been on it.It seems to be helping out by keeping the dreaded D away that's one of the things that's been giving me problems that's one of the symptoms of IBS.I know Glutamine is also suppose to help with putting on muscle weight how long will I have to be taking Juven to see weight gain? and am I supposed to be working out to help with new muscle production? I would greatly appreciate anyone's experience with Juven and advice.I hope to come back to this forum as many times as I can for support with everything that comes along with being positive.I'm wishing you all good health and all my best take care.  :)

You might want to save some money and just take the L-Glutamine powder along with some acidophilus bifidus. I also take Benifiber as well. I have not had any problems with my GI track since I have been taking the above mention supplements. I also like Juven but it can be a little costly, and not really worth the price. You can put the ingredients from Juven together much cheaper. :)

I take Glutamine powder and it constipates me.  I don't normally have D problems as you mentioned.  I have heard that some docs advise trying it for D.  It's really pretty cheap even though it may seem expensive if buying the large container, I find that will usually last me at least 6 months.

Also I've heard it touted as a muscle builder because it is supposed to speed recovery time after working out (presumably by building new muscle fiber after you've torn it down working out).  I would think you need to do resistance training to see any results, and I wouldn't expect anything dramatic.  You would need testosterone for that.
