Sounds like the craziness I had early on when the bugs were settling in during the 80s, and a little like what I experienced three years ago in the fall.  At that time I went to Houston for a college homecoming weekend feeling a bit crumby and had a huge swollen lymph gland in my neck within 48 hours of the first feelings of ickiness.  Went to a local ER and wound up on IV azithromycin for a few hours to get me properly hydrated and to bypass the gut for delivering the meds.  Four more doses of azithromycin 1000mg bid, and I was good as new.

Also, have you tried lymphatic massage for general maintenance?  It's fairly easy to do on one's self, and it promotes healthful circulation of the lymph fluid.  http://www.ehow.com/how_2301590_do-lymphatic-massage.html

It's awful you're suffering with these symptoms so long with no relief. If possible, it seems time to see some specialists. If your primary doctor is not an Infectious Disease, consider one; Have you had complete workups with blood cultures? Biopsies of the swollen nodes might also be considered. You're getting medical care with random treatments but something's missing here.

Hoping you feel better soon. -YaKa

infectious desease doc yes same one that has kept me so healthy for so long ... blood work yes ,,, specialist yes,  blood culturs no im thinking when i come off this latest dose of antibiotics i need to have them done ,,, you cant do blood cultures with antibiotics on board its a waste of time an ENT  sent me to get a biopsy done 5 months ago showed fatty lymphnodes he told me he could remove the whole chain im wondering if i need to let him?  im going to run this by my infectious desease guy ,,, its just your lymphnodes play such an important role in fighting off desease id hate to give them up,, im wondering if its for the best the little fat guys go
