Title: Oral + fingering
Post by: Galaxy on December 17, 2012, 08:55:37 am
Firstly, thank you for a great forum. With so much conflicting information available over the internet regarding what is safe and what is not, I feel like you guys really know what you are talking about.

However, referring to the conflicting information, I wanted to run by my recent "incident" and get your pov.

A few nights ago I engaged in some sexual activity with a guy I don't know all that well. It included deep, very passionate kissing, rather rough fingering performed by him on me, both anal and vaginal (made me bleed) and me performing some oral sex on him - briefly, no ejaculation took place.

I have easily bleeding gums, but to my knowledge they weren't bleeding at the time (!). I have no idea if he had any cuts or open sores on his hands or in his mouth for that matter. The oral by me on him didn't last long, but my mouth was very dry so not as full of saliva as normally.

In your pov - any risk for HIV here? No intercourse took place at all.

Galaxy, you have no cause for concern about HIV in relation to the incident you are reporting.

You need to know for the future that the only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. As long as condoms are used properly for those activities you will be well protected.

Other stds are much easier to acquire so we do advise anyone who is sexually active to at least annually have a full STD panel done. But as for HIV, this time you are good to go. And no testing is necessary.
