general health benefits
« on: September 19, 2010, 02:42:39 am »
Well thanks bt65 as you are a long term suvivor i take your vitamin supplement advice on board. You take EXACTLY what i take which is a multi vit (i add selenium as my multi has very low dose)vitd with calcium and you also reccomend fish oil (omega 3 ) which we all know has excellent health benefits and which i have been taking for years.
Well done we got there in the end,  ann thanks for seeing sense finally and silencing those people ruining the other thread by locking it. Not once ann did i state that taking supplements has anything to do with hiv and progression but other health benefits yes DEFINATELY omega 3 -heart , vitd with calcium- bones, well known well proven health benefits .

I am an LTS with no real record of regular multi-vitamin use, yet I am still alive, and actually quite well.

Thats great news jkinatl ,its the haart that has kept you alive by the way not the multivits you took in the past not regularly .You also agree then that vitd with calcium is good for your bones (certain arvs thin bones ) and omega3 is good for your heart /lipids etc (certain arvs affect lipids). A Multi vit a day is debatable and a personal choice of course .

Tommy, I originally deleted this thread, but I've reinstated it and locked it.

Your first post seems to have been designed not for the creation of a sober discussion, but rather to inflame. Knock it off.

Feel free to try again, but please leave out the mention of your other locked thread. When threads are locked, you're not supposed to start another and refer back to the problems that cause the first to be locked.

And yes, this is a warning to not do this sort of thing in future.

To everyone else, if Tommy does decide to try again, please don't hijack it. I don't want to have to babysit and possibly lock another one. It gets tedious after a while.

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts
