need help

My husband and I seperated and he ruined my credit and made me lose my rent asst. and I need help. I live in Jersey with my 15 year old Daughter and cannot afford the $1000 21/2 bedroom apt. Does ANYONE know ANYONE that is poz that maybe could get to know me and maybe needs a place to stay and can help us or has any info that I could use. I am desperately in need. Her b-day is the 5th and I can't even give her anything. Please, I will take prayers, info, anything. I have 3 cats and 1 dog that I do not want to lose. They are my kids.Thanks so much. :'(

It sounds like you really need help but unfortunately I live hundreds of miles away from you.

Are you infected with HIV?  If so is there an AIDS service organization you have access to?  What about a Red Cross office?  There is no family member or friend who might give you temporary housing until you could get back on your feet?

I'm sorry I can't offer any real help but hope you and your daughter will make it through this horrible time. 

As a second thought, maybe a free legal aid bureau could help get back your rental assistance?  If your husband wrongly made you lose it then there should be a way to prove you're still eligible, I hope.  Again, I'm sorry to be unable to offer help.

Sorry to hear about your situation. I live in Pa and I know here, the ASO has a rent program where they pay a certain amount of your rent depending on your income. I'm not sure if they have that there but it would be something to check into. I know what you mean about your pets, my kitty Lucifer is my baby. I will keep you in my prayers....
